And I kinda agree with S110V, this knife does seem more slicey oriented but that tip would certainly benefit from a tough steel. I think it'll be awesome if they do a Salt version to match the Native 5 Salt.
That knife would put a Glasgow smile on your face..

I want to see g10 and lightweight versions of the native chief, native 5, and lil native. And I want them all to have salt versions in pe and se, along with multiple other steel options. From s30v to supersteels.
I basically want the chief and lil native to eventually get the options of the native 5.
Ill probably get almost one of everything.

Does that complexity decrease the simplicity? Not at all.

Love to see this in M390 or S110V, might not be able to find one in Cruwear. :p

I don't get the point of a hi-toughness steel in a long, slender, delicate knife like the Native Chief. As others have mentioned, something like S110V or Maxamet would make much more sense. Also, if ease of sharpening is a factor, why not something like AEB-L?

Because when you do a job like mine (Fireman/Paramedic) you appreciate a Steel like Cruwear !! And btw, I’m in South East Florida and the Stain Resistance is surprisingly good.

I would definitely prefer a tough steel for the chief. I think that it would preserve the tip and mitigate damage on such a thin grind. Geometry is doing all the work here.

Sounds great but considering how getting a Shaman in cruwear is like pulling teeth, I can't imagine what kind of luck you'd have to have to actually get a Native Chief in CW
