Sunday Spyderco?

#1

Post by Razor »

I was wanting a small spyderco to carry on Sunday when wearing dress pants. I like the spyderco standard, but they are hard to find. What about the Persian? I want G-10 handles or micarta. Any suggestions? Thanks all.

A Kopa would fit the bill. A gem.

G10 and micarta in one! Classy and dressy enough for any kind of trousers ;)

God bless,

Simon.

Sunday, with suit wear for me is the "Toad" a D'Alton Holder design for Spyderco, model.C57S. A real neat little knife. :)

Razor

If you can find one, the Micarta Jess Horn also works great in this function.

If you're right handed, the new C97 Howard Viele Jr would make a nice Sunday carry and you get both Micarta and G10 in one neat little package.
Front scale combines nicely sculpted black linen micarta and brushed stainless...

Rear scale is textured G10...

The micarta ones I have are the Calypso Jr. PE and Jess Horn SE. They'd be great with dress pants, but are harder to find.

I haven't seen a Howard Viele yet but the original or the new Viele 2 would also be great. And you can buy the Viele 2 now.

The Absolute Perfect Sunday knife

#12

Post by JD Spydo »

That's right I have the "Absolutely Perfect Sunday Spyder". It is the little C-39 Micarta Dyad. It has 2 blades as most of you Forumites know. One very wicked little serrated blade and one little Persian type plain edge that is so versatile for it's size. I defy anyone to top that :D . I know, I know I am predjudice because I like the Dyads so much. But look what they are all going for now on Ebay  . If anyone can top the little Micarta Dyad I want to know what it is so I can get one. :) :spyder: No arrogance in my family: I GOT IT ALL :D :D :spyder:

Razor, my friend, the new C96GP SpyKer is reaching out to you. Since you mentioned the Persian (a small Spyderco ;) ), in your original post, I will observe that the SpyKer is about the same size and it's one very classy-looking knife. Gotta get me one of those :D .

I find that either my Delica or Salt I is the perfect knife for carry 7 days a week. Whether I'm at work, church, or out on the town.

Glad you found the Calypso in micarta -- Also, if you want G-10 and a slim profile, how about the Solo Button Lock?

I had never seen that before  . Not sure how I missed it. Boy, the price is sure right, and AUS-10 too. My own Sunday, black suit, go-to-church knife is the Centofante III. Works for me :D .
