Re: Are you carrying knives with an index choil?
Manix 2 LW on me today (and usually), but I do have to say, cutting apples today I wish I didn’t, it seemed to get in the way more than help. I do agree with some points in the “detailed work” thread that in most cases, if you need to do “detailed work”, you are gonna be using a shorter blade rather than a big blade with a choil. I like carrying a >3” blade. I’d like to see some more choil-less designs out of Golden that fit an “EDC” roll. The only ones now, being the Yojimbo, Wolf Spyder and soon to be Siren, are more “specialized” in their design. Something in the general vein of a Tenacious would be awesome. I do have a Pacific Salt on the way, so I will be carrying a choil-less knife with me more often.

Mantra today, so no choil. But I do use them and like them on many models.

Re: Are you carrying knives with an index choil?
Pacific Salt, so no choil.
But as on most knives I choke up with the index finger on the blade (here: The Ricasso) frequently. Probably even my most common grip.

I had the Manix 2 LW CTS-XHP on my today. So yes. But I have several that don't have an index finger choil and like those just as much if not better

Re: Are you carrying knives with an index choil?
I voted "other" for two reasons. First because at this hour of the morning I'm sitting in front of my computer in a pair of gym shorts, so no pockets, no knives "on me". Second because one of the three knives I carry most days is a Jester, which lacks a choil, but is rarely ever used and because I do occasionally carry, and use, a Centofante Memory when headed to Greenville. Otherwise, it's mostly always some version of the Stretch, Chaparral, or Native, plus some version of the Kiwi that are in my pockets.

Re: Are you carrying knives with an index choil?
Yes. I am carrying an Advocate. The only knives in my “users” box that don’t have a choil are a Bradley Air and an old Blur, and they are only carried in certain instances. Ninety five percent of the time my answer would be yes.
