Got my order in.

BBS causes me no complaint. If the same knife is available from two places and one observes MAP with free shipping/insurance, I go with that one. But here, BBS has done me (us?) a solid.
Here here. I've had nothing but positive experiences and "personalized" service from BBS. Yes they are pricey, but this isn't an inexpensive hobby of ours.
My collection so far: 52100 Military (2); 52100 PM2 (2); 52100 Para3; Stretch2 V-Toku; KnifeWorks M4 PM2; BentoBox M390 PM2; BentoBox S90V Military; Police4 K390; S110V PM2; SS Delica AUS-6; Wayne Goddard Sprint VG-10
Wish list: Hundred Pacer; Sliverax; Mantra; 52100 PM2 SE; Kapara

Remember that the shipping cost covers either one or TWO knives.

I picked up another M390 Delica.

Got a shipping notice too.

That HRC works great on the P4. Let’s hope it is the same.

Got my shipping notice. Race is on. I’m only some 350 miles away.

nope. Friday release = lowered expectations
Wow.... this is exactly what happened when I got the smurf pm3 from them.. Didn't ship till Tuesday. Exactly why I don't understand an inflated shipping cost. I hope it's better for everyone this time.
Ordered yesterday, shipping notice today.

If BBS is a one-man operation (is it not?), I’m impressed (just like I have been with several earlier transactions).

Moreover, I see no ethical problem with BBS’ “inflated shipping cost”.

Packing product carefully for shipment should not be imagined as free of labor-costs (whose labor?), and forcing insurance is a sensible way for a minuscule operation to resolve transactions gone wrong.

Let's agree to disagree. Less overhead costs more money? if you're going to charge $15 maybe you should hire somebody and pay them to ship it for you so you can get it out faster. blade HQ has free shipping yet somehow ships the same day and hires people. I just wish the price shown was the price shipped. I guess I'll just let this die here because shiney foot prints or something

Another perfect PM2! That we have K390 now on this model is still sinking in :D

I should add that this color G10 is foliage green! It’s fun they’re calling it “ranger” green but it’s identical to the color of the G10 Dragonfly and all other foliage green G10 offerings out of Seki. ;)

Are you able to compare it to the color of G10 on the Elmax PM2 BBS exclusive (C81GFGP2)?

Nice! I was hoping it'd be closer to foliage green than to an army green like the "ranger" suggests. Thanks for the pics!

How on earth could there be an ethical problem?

BBS chooses their prices and rates. We each choose whether or not to do business with them on any particular transaction. It's just like the vast majority of our other purchases (and much else in our lives).

No one is forcing anyone to do anything. The ethics are perfectly clear.

It seems really weird to me that someone who chooses not to do business with someone else (for whatever reason) would accuse the person they chose not to do business with of ethical problems.

If BBS was lying or misrepresenting things, that would be different. They're actually very clear on their (somewhat unusual) terms when you order. If you choose to order or not is totally up to you.
