CPM M4 edc fixed blade

Is there a chance that we can get a small light M4 fixed blade in the future?

I've added a mini aurora from BR to my rotation (one of my very few non-spyderco knives!) and found out how great using a fixed blade can be. The next knife on the list is the Sprig, to try out some of that s90v. In my rotation is a GB1 that I also really enjoy. That beast feels solid and with that M4 it really is a serious knife. Using the GB1 and the BR, it made me want a Spyderco made M4 edc fixed blade. I missed out on the mule but there must be enough people with love for M4 to make another similar sized knife. What do you guys think.

Regarding mules- depending on what quality of the steel you like, I've heard that 4V is very similar to M4. And there is Cruwear that is a little tougher and K390 that has better edgeholding.

Not a Spydie (as I don't think there is anything exactly in this category), but the Lionsteel M4 is a nice 3.74" M390 fixed blade. I'd probably have one if I didn't have the Bradley Bowie.

Enuf in k390 would be a nice little EDC fixed blade.

BTW: I've actually got a bunch of M4 (none from Spyderco yet, sadly), and a 4V Mule. The Mule is certainly very nice, sharpening M4 is much harder, though.

Yea I wish I can find a mule at some point. I don't even have one! If something pops up here in the secondary market in Europe I'll have to try it out. M4 and 3v has been nice so I'll have to give 4v, k390(soon with the urban) Cruware and Maxamet a go too.

Something junction like would be my pick. But I would buy anything fixed in M4 from Spyderco.

Respect would be nice in M4. Also the Lum Darn Dao in M4 or 3V.

I think a street beat or street bowie and a Moran would be nice for smaller fixed blades in M4. Sprig and southfork too.

As TomAiello said two years ago, I think an Enuff would a cool knife in a tool steel sprint, maybe the Street Beat. Both are small enough to fill an EDC roll and are popular, enduring designs.

I still would like a M4 sprig! But to be honest I'll be keen to try almost any shorter tool steel fixed blade from Spyderco. Junction, enuff, street beat, waterway, aqua salt, I'll try any of those in M4, k390 etc.

Street beat with m4 but the older micarta handle one.
Or something new. 3.25 blade and a neutral handle.

I'd be in for 2 or 3 of them. M4 or K390 - either would make me happy. I'd be just fine with the regular black micarta handle - just don't make it a SB LW model.

I have tried carrying a fixed blade for general use, but it always felt more cumbersome than any folding knife. If we see a SB in M4 or equivalent(ish) steel, I will give fixed blade carry another shot. If it doesn't work out, I will have a new garage companion for utility work.
