I wonder where Matt Patricia got the game plan to slow Mahomes down like he did?
(hint: it was from Belichick)
If you’re impressed with the Packers defense this season, you might want to catch up on some of the Patriots games from this season. :D
Well there are still others I put in higher esteem than Mr. Patricia. What Pete Carroll has done in Seattle with a lot less resources and money is not to be taken lightly IMO. Matt Nagy ( Andy Reid disciple  ) and what he has done with the Chicago Bears in such a short time slot is also been considerably more impressive to me.
What Sean McVay has accomplished in such a short time window to turn around the RAMS organization is still blowing me away. Just to name a few and I could name about 4 more in this line of thought that I would put ahead of him.
But I will give the Lions credit for doing something that no one else has yet to do effectively and that was to catch Mahomes and his overall offense off balance. They did accomplish that but on the other hand that was a blessing in disguise that our team needed. That experience we had yesterday is going to pay a huge dividend later this season and then some.
Yeah Bill B. has proven to be a good coach. But he owes most if not all of his success to one of the greatest coaches ever and that his mentor Bill Parcells. I truly believe that Bill Parcells has set the stage we're enjoying at this time. I still think the greatest coaches that ever were in the NFL were Tom Landry, Vince Lombardi and KC's own Hank Stram. And those old boys did it when it was really hard to do IMO.
Pats are a superior team, but...who have they really played so far this year!? Granted the Bills defense is solid. Jets and Steelers, at this point...don't even count haha!

Not only that but have you taken a hard look at their regular season schedule   You would think it was a schedule for the last place team with a brand new coach. I've never in my life seen such a daisy-flake, cotton candy and totally monkey rigged schedule as the teams that the Pats have in front of them in the regular season  . The KC Chief's schedule has at least a 70% to 80% more degree of difficulty to it than the team that won the Superbowl for GOD's sake  it's the equivalent to running the table on a 5 year old kids pool table from ToysRus
The only teams they have to play this season that even have a half a chance of giving them a run for their money is the Cowboys and the Chiefs. Other than those two teams it's truly like shooting fish in a barrel for the Pats in 2019>> and their playing The Chiefs and the Cowboys both at Foxborough   As much as I've loved NFL football over the years I'm getting close to writing if off. Of course I'm sure that Pat's owner Robert Kraft ( massage parlor patron) and Roger Goodell being pals has nothing to do with it

And blew those bum teams out none the less.
Except the Bills, who might have the second best defense in the league, after the Patriots. The Bills and Bears are a toss up between their defenses.
Also JD, it's not the Patriots fault the rest of the league sucks. Thats the rest of the leagues fault. :D You're acting like the schedule is hand picked and isn't just a basic rotating formula each year.
After watching the video of two teams yesterday in week #4 I'm starting to get worried. Chicago is starting to look somewhat similar to the legendary Bear's team of 1985 with their savage defense. As a Chief's fan I'm now dreading playing them even worse than I am our re-match with the Evil Empire.
Why Andy Reid didn't go after Kahilil Mack is just beyond me. That guy has the makings of another Lawrence Taylor in my opinion. As yesterday's game with the Lion's proved that the Chiefs have more problems with defensive monsters than they do with power offenses. Yeah the two I'm dreading the worst now are Chicago and Green Bay. For some reason I got a bad feeling that both of those teams can even give us worse fits than the Lions did yesterday.
I've got to take my hat off to Matt Patricia>> he took what most of the league considered a "push-over" team ( The Lions) and has them playing serious, respectable football. But trust me Chicago's Defense is even going to become more vicious as the season progresses >> and far more vicious I might add. This season is far from being decided at this point.
JD, I'll tell ya what brother, the Chiefs are of the few teams that can really handle.Chicago imo.
Plus, I just dont think Kirk Cousins is that good.( Vikings vs Bears)I really dont.
Nonetheless, Patty Mahomes ain't nothin but the truth lol.
Chiefs vs Bears is Epic!!

Well thankfully the Chiefs don't play the Bears until week #16. Hopefully we'll have Hill and others all back and playing in sync by then. I heard that Tyreek Hill should be back in about two weeks. The only team I'm sort of worried about the Chiefs playing in the next two months is Green Bay. We play them and the Vikings here at ARROWHEAD in back to back games which is always an advantage. I do believe our defense is slowly getting better but we really needed one big time, spark plug player like Derrick Thomas used to be. Why they didn't go after that Kahilil Mack is truly a mystery to me  ? We had enough cap space to get him I was told
I'm really optimistic about Mecole Hardman and LeSean McCoy>> they seem be really be helping and both of them are getting better each week. Hardman runs just about as fast as Hill does.

(hint: it was from Belichick)
No question he was influenced by Belichick but his teacher was his old boss at Syracuse ( or somewhere like that) who now works for Patricia. He is the architect of this defense which the Pat's are still mostly using. It is designed around finding out what the opponent does best and taking that away from them. Look at the last Pat's superbowl win to see how that works.
That was not Detroit's best game by any means. There are a lot of good defensive coordinators that failed when they got their own team. Philly's Jim Swartz ( a former Detroit head coach) is one recent example but we will see how it goes for Patricia. One or two year trials is not enough to bring in new systems and develop and draft the personnel needed but that is often all these guys are given. The fact that the Lions are playing more fundamentally sound and with fewer stupid penalties makes me want to see what he can do.
The Black and Blue division in the NFC north is always tough with great defenses and brutal inter division games. Outside the division and area it isn't going to get the respect of some other games when it comes to coverage nationally. Only Green Bay and sometimes Chicago seem to always be on TV but if you look at the records it shows that any team can win on any given day.

No thank you  If I want to see Bill Bellyache I'll just watch a Rolaids or Pepto Bismol commercial
I get nauseated enough just absorbing all the arrogance they project through the TV Tube. The Bible calls it "Self Worship">> nope no need for idols with that cast of demented characters  There just isn't a "smiley face" to adequately describe it They need smiley face of somebody "upchucking" :D

Sounds like a weird way if discrediting Belichick, but yeah sure some random guy at Syracuse must be responsible for the Patriots beating Patrick Mahomes twice last year...
Also, the Superbowl is far from the only example of Belichick doing this.
Seeing soo many headlines coming out "DiD ThE LiOnS PrOvIdE A bLuEpRiNT tO BeAtInG tHe ChIeFs?!" .... Uhh, no. Belichick did. Hence why the Lions nearly replicated how the Patriots played him.

Well, you sure love talking about them! Seems like the Patriots own more real estate in your mind than the Queefs!
Well Mason Rudolph the Red Nosed QB beat lowly Cincinnati last night. I thought Marvin Lewis was gone>> gee I couldn't tell for sure with those results  With the Steelers I'm sure that with Big Ben, L. Bell and Antonio "worship me" Brown all out of the picture I would imagine that the viewer ratings for that Monday Night game were in the single digits if not in the toilet
Well I'm glad the Steeler's back up QB got him a victory. It's probably about one out of 4 they will win this season. I truly feel sorry for Mike Tomlin because this is not his fault at all. It's amazing how fast a team can go in the "toilet bowl" instead of the Superbowl these days for sure.

Well people also talk about Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Richard Ramirez, Jeffrey Epstein and Richard Nixon too. And most soap operas on TV have a high viewership as well. My late dad always said that bad news sells newspapers much better than good news does. If you haven't noticed the entire NFL has become a soap opera of sorts. But America like's it's criminals, cheats, liars and perverts and always has. Just look at the WWE they reflect America better than anyone out there at this time.
It only makes sense that Vince McMahon is giving the XFL another shot. The way everything is going with people leaving and getting suspended and being kicked out of the NFL it's getting to the point to where XFL won't even need a draft or free agency
I really wish the Pats and Chiefs were playing each other this week! :p :D
What the heck Bill Bellyache, Marcia Brady and the rest of the Pats team can all dress up in pro wrestler garb and have their own XFL team ready to go for the next Off Season. I think Bill Bellyache would look cool with Gene Simmons KISS make up on and Lord Brady can get all the costumes that Macho Man Savage used to wear and they will be ready for primetime in the XFL  .
They aren't even worried about getting caught cheating or breaking NFL rules anymore because there is a new league already waiting for them. Then they can have "Antonio (phony-io) Brown back along with all the other reprobates they've kicked out of the NFL or on the suspension list. Belichick and McMahon would be like two perfectly fit peas in a pod  :D

Credit where credit is due. Bill Belichick is the best Coach ever imo. The man is a genius when it come to football.
What he did to the Rams in the Super Bowl was just phenomenal.
Imo, Kansas City is the only real threat to the Patriots this year.
Barring injuries of course.
Bill Belichick has had so many coaches leave and, still year after year the Patriots are either in the AFC Championship or the Super Bowl. Just incredible what he and Brady have done.

LOL Well for one, I agree, I think Belichick would look pretty cool in full Gene Simmons KISS garb. Halloween isn't too far, maybe someone can tweet him on "snapface", as he calls it! :p Secondly, I think Brady is more apt to wear one of the outfits from "The Greatest Wrestler of All Time", Ric "The Nature Boy" Flair! WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! :D lol
And say what you want about Antonio Brown, you won't catch me trying to defend him! As far as I know though, even the XFL has already come out and stated they don't even want him in their league!
Brown and Leveon Bell both must have serious brain damage. Neither one of those guys benefited in the least from leaving the Steelers. Just the one year that Bell laid off from the team cost him far more than he'll ever make up>> and then ending up with the JETS of all teams  Both of these guys are clinically insane. They both could have finished their careers with the Steelers and both would probably be at least 30 to 40 million ahead of where they both are now. The Rooney family would have compensated both of these guys really well if they would have just done their jobs and been dedicated team players. Neither one of them will ever recovery what they have lost in the past 18 months. What complete idiots!!! Both of them
