It has been reprofiled and used on several camping trips. Good retention, and not a single chip despite some questionable use - wasn't me.

Any idea what angle you used for hard use?

I definitely like the steel and handle color. For me a Para 3 gets a lot more pocket time. Wonder if that model will get this combination also.

I couldn't tell you. I don't have a way of measuring angles accurately, and I sharpen freehand. Smaller angle than it came with.

PM2 is my most used knife, so having this steel in the mix will make for fun science.

And I don't know what you call this green, but I want it... even if it is just the standard dark green.

Wow I'm excited for this one I think, More color the better and K390 is the perfect balance of lasting forever and ease of sharpening imo. I really hope that other places are also going to have this to sell like the brown s35vn PM2. I can't see why it would be any more than the blue M390 blade if they do all go to bbs.

It was mentioned elsewhere that the K390 Ranger Green PM2 could be distributed by Moteng - Sportsman Supply and that BBS be releasing a Elmax Para 3

Do we have any hard data what will be from where?

Seeing as CC members already have their k390 pm2s, and no other dealers have anything on their websites about them, I think it's looking pretty likely that BBS did buy the whole run of them from Sportsman's Supply (Moteng).

I was harping on a K390 full Seki run so much, and also asking for a PM2 specifically that I was starting to think I was just downright annoying... I guess they can finally shut me up! Thank you Spyderco for making dreams come true :D :spyder:

If this heat treat is anything like the Police4 I think a lot of people are going to be impressed with this steel. I can't wait to have a smaller locking K390 folder. It's going to be hard not to buy two.

I found this picture of the insert from one of the ebay listings. Confirms that the K390 Ranger Green PM2 is a BBS exclusive.

Their m390 satin pm2 is $189. Still pricey, but not insane (imo). I bet this one will be more in that range.
