Looks like GP Knives has the best deal on Pacific Salts at $71.95, though I'm hoping to find them a little cheaper.

I think the Hundred Pacer is such a cool knife, but even at 44% off msrp it's still $199. Just can't pull that trigger right after buying the 4v shaman...

Is it safe to assume all advocates being sold are the cqi versions?

Regarding the Pacific Salt: will this handle disappear or will we be seeing a LC200N version with the current handle?

Very good question. Might need a backup. I don’t want to say goodbye to the barrel bolt or this handle. I’m sure the new one will be good too. I sure hope it’s a nice green.

As we speak, almost the entire list above is on Special at KC now, Advocate for $156, Opus for $136, etc. Finally got the Opus, always want to have one :)

Roland.
Yea really. The Lil Temp 3 went from $211 to $135. And here I thought I got a good deal a few months ago at $147.

Good question.

The Police 4 LW was to be my next purchase. That may change based on if the available Advocates are the newer version.

I see the mantra 2 is on special at knifecenter. Went to buy it and see knifecenter changed their international shipping charges to Canada. It was $10 before and now it's $25.

I’m very curious to see what configuration the Pacific Salt 2 will be.
A lot of people think the blade is going to be LC200N with a full flat grind. Will it have the Endura handle or something completely new? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see
The Salt 2 currently has the Delica handle. FFG/LC200N would FLY off the shelves!

I was quite surprised to see the Police 4 on the discontinued list as well. Do you all think it’s because they’re already coming out with a Police 5?
I think it is because of the P4 LW. Sal already said a K390 version is coming. I'm betting the G10 version is going away because the LW version is cheaper to make.

Sal had hinted that it would be discontinued soon, especially with the advent of the new Police LW.
I imagine that the P4 was a bit of a slow seller: maybe not on this forum, but among Spyderco's main customer base. It's really an aficionado model, a true Sal Glesser creation - long thin blade, K390 steel, slender but solid design.
Unfortunately it wasn't helped by the fact that for some reason, G-10 from Seki City is very expensive. I think it is worth the money though. It is such a fine knife: you really need to hold one in hand to fully appreciate it.

In for a Hanan for $146 from KC. I'm tempted to get a Lil' Sub-Hilt too but gonna hold off for now. Yesterday I bought a ZT0801TI that KC has (soon to be had) on special. So I need to let the bank account cool off a little :)
