After making up all this ground, winning 8 of our past 10 games, Cubs sliding...could be within a game of the 2nd wildcard spot come tomorrow morning, the most devastating news of all...Yelich is done for the season

This really feels like the nail I'm the coffin, after a valiant effort the past few weeks to get back into contention, with other solid players coming back soon. I'm a bit numb at the moment :(

Sorry Rick, this really sucks. Maybe they'll rally around their MVP and fight their way into the wildcard spot :)

Moustakas!! Tie game in the top of the 9th, 2 outs...blasts a 2 run homer!! Hader comes in and closes the game out with 3 K's. Let's do this!! Do it for Yeli!! 6 game win streak and receiving help from other teams. Pulling for the Padres later!

Thank you Josh Donaldson for the great catch over your own dugout railing to end the game for another Phillies loss!

Acuna is getting really close to 40-40. I hope he didn't strain a calf muscle tonight.

Big win for the crew today too!

Acuna is the real deal and the Braves have him for a long time. Ozzie Albies will probably win a batting champ one day

The NL Central and NL wild card race is going to come down to the final few games of the season. This is all way too tight right now!! What a race!

Yes prayers indeed! That was very hard to watch, I'd hoped it had fouled off the bat and it may have slowed it down but right in the face. Laying down a bunt is very dangerous because you line up the "fat" of the bat inline with your eye and try to "soften" the hit. Usually if there is an injury it's off the fingers or fouled up toward your face....

That was quite rough to watch. Watching Yelich foul that pitch off his knee cap was rough too.

Probably knocked him out of an MVP as well....hate to see anyone hurt, and as someone whose had knee injuries they seem to never heal back right.

If Acuna can get to 40-40 I don't see how he isn't the MVP. You're right about knee injuries, and joint injuries in general. Getting old is no fun.

May be hard for him to get because of Freeman and Donaldson on the same team, but that's a good problem to have. Hope he makes the 40-40, he's a special player.

Man this years NL MVP is gonna be difficult to pick. Yelich, Bellinger, Acuna, Freeman, Rendon or Suarez....I'm gonna go with Bellinger because he's the best player on the best team, but I'm also a homer😁
