Sal, are you still interested to get the file to 3D print the part for testing? If yes I need an E-Mail address where I can send it to.

Thanks all for your feedback.
This part produced by spyderco would be great!

Really sad that there is no answer about the part :(
I thought this could be a really great opportunity for Spyderco to sell more of there wonderful knives even in country’s where the knife law is prohibiting to carry a folding - locking knife.

So you got no reply at all where to send the part or a 3D file? You were asked to do so, right?
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):

Or you can contact Tazkristi, or other Spyderco employee, here and get his email since he asked you to email the file.

I'd imagine they're going through some prototyping and testing. That can usually take a fair while

I would be totally ok with that. It would just be nice to hear the actual status :)

Very interesting design....have you done anything similar for liner lock designs? I'm guessing the technology would not be terribly different. In any case, awesome!

Until now I only modded the compression lock.
Maybe the liner lock will follow ;)

I don't think a mod like this is possible on a liner lock. This mod fits into a cutout for the compression lock that doesn't exist on a liner lock. The compression lock is not simply a liner lock on the back of the knife, it operates very differently compared to a liner lock.

I was checking with R&D and they said that the file did not come through and was not usable. Sorry i didn't check sooner. We'll have to do a better job. Can I get you to resend the file?

Send to:

Sglesser@spyderco.com and to
Peterj@spyderco.com

or send a disc or?
