K390 fans rejoice!

Post by Doc Dan »

I love K390 in the one knife I have with it. It is my favorite non stainless steel and a lot of you love it too. Well, in case you missed it:

Re: Sal, are there any plans for another K390 knife?

I have plans to make the entire Endura family in K390. BU wasn't planning on making an more K390 until October so we're just waiting on material.

Yes!!!

That’s almost gonna be too much goodness to handle!

Highlights for me will be -

Stretch 2
Dragonfly
Delica Wharncliffe

I wonder if Moki will come to the party with the Caly and Caly 3.5? They don’t seem to be too fond of hard monosteel blades. They did the Superblue and HAP40 sprint steel runs, but as far as I’m aware they’ve only ever done HAP40 (and ZDP-189) as laminates.

I’m curious to see how far the run extends into all the variants of the family, like the Dragonfly and Ladybug hawkbills, and the Dragonfly and Endura Wharncliffes?

I wonder how K390 performs in SE?

I hope this will come true soon; And I hope it will include the Endela (it really should). Love my VG 10 serrated one, but would REALLY like my PE one to be in K390. I am really not into steels a lot, but this one I´d like to try out. As well as the Endela in PE. So a classic win-win-situation.. :D
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

I think it’ll be the usual ones in the family, but the only ones I want are wharnie Delica and Endela, so might be out of luck. I hope I’m wrong.
- best wishes, Jazz.

Yep, it would be interesting to know how well the Endela does so far and if it will become an as least as well selling family member as Endura and Delica are assumably...
But I think many will choose the EndELa over the EndURa, so there is a good chance it sells well and we´ll see it also in K390..

I'm so excited about this. I would sell my left leg for a K390 + Pakkawood or carbon fiber run.

I guess I'm not clear on how many kids Mr. Endura fathered. Who's in the family?

This is great news, although we all have to keep in mind that the plans for the knives in this steel wont start until october. In other words, we wont be seeing them until some time next year.

K390 Dragonfly is going to be awesome. I think I'll need 4 or 5 of them. :)
