Thanks man! I should really redo it in proper light and tiles paralell etc. Liked the idea though :)

Lighting can be tough depending on what camera and lens you are using, it really does matter a lot. My old D90 just plain sucked in lower light, but that's a 10 YO camera. The new camera bodies are MUCH better these days. Even the entry level DSLR's are MUCH better.

Some camera bodies are just better in lower light (Excellent high ISO performance) and faster lenses (F1.4 to F2.8) are always better.

I can't remember the last time I used a flash for other than fill light and that is rare. :D

I didn't even use my camera (Sony NEX7) Took the pic with my Samsung Galaxy S8 :) I was just eager to test the composition originally.
The NEX7 is amazing in low light, you can push the ISO through the ceiling before noticing any deterioration!

That's what I thought, you used a cell phone...

Yeah the NEX7 should be good to around ISO 6400 from what I heard, maybe a little less.

Personally using a D750 currently.

Absolutely! Is there any other way? It's so danged patinaed I figured it could endure the week. Passed with flying colors.

Very cool dye job! Do you remember what color RIT you used? Liquid or powder?

Sorry can’t remember the colour, may have been burgundy?
But I can remember it was a powder. Hope this helps.
