I think this swayback design is screaming for titanium bolsters and marbled carbon fiber scales. That may just be my anti frame lock bias rearing its ugly head though. :D

I think this is going to be a BIG seller when it arrives. The design is very clean and Taichung has done well with the slysz colabs.

A long time ago sal said it was in the queue for Slysz designs. Sal was gonna do the spydiechef, techno 2, swayback.. in that order.

And yeah, someone at the USN gathering said Eric said it was in the works for January. Pic incoming. Irradiator...

I wonder what steel they go with?

LC200N perhaps?

It would be nice if it was a carbon steel, like the classic swayback.

My guess would be CTS-XHP. I believe all of or most of the Spyderco/Slyzs collaborations have been CTS-XHP.

I felt like I was forgetting a model. The Spydiechef was LC200N. I hope the Spydiechef is restocked soon. I missed out and want one bad. I’m sure they will not last long.

This is the first Slysz that really speaks to me.

I do love the Bowie, but the handle was too small.

Really though, I want to see this made.(thanks Abba)

Make the blade around 3.75" and it would be perfect! My hand would actually fit the handle! Also, make the steel LC200N and give it standoffs.
That's basically the Rat. And yeah, I want that one, too.

Almost, unfortunately the blade shape isn't the same. I really like the shape of that clip point.

Had the same thought. Was enjoying the techno and thought it needed a friend. Found the chef at knife depot. This should hold me over until the swayback arrives.

*bump*

Curious if anyone has heard anything more about the Swayback? Is it really in/ going into production this month?

Maybe Sal is carrying a prototype/ production sample?

Shot show starts Jan 21st. That's likely when we'll hear an update.

Absolute day 1 purchase for me. This has been at the top of my Spydie wish list for years now. I’d expect XHP, fitting with the rest of the (non-Chef) Slysz collabs, but I’d take it with really any steel. (I mean, please don’t drop 8cr in there, but still. :D :D )
