What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Same! Couldn’t pass it up! It’s bigger than I usually like, but the price was right. I’m going to at least give it some pocket time to see what I think of it. :DVashHash wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 8:27 amCouldn't pass this up for $25 on sale.

Nice combo! I just got my GB2 a couple weeks ago and am really loving it! Feels like a tank. And the M4 is my favorite. Accidentally scraped the sidewalk yesterday while trimming the hedges down low. The edge blunted a tad bit on the tip where it hit, but no chipping at all, and it took no time at all to fix on the med side of my doublestuff.

I like med to large knifes. I didn’t know the resilience was so big until the other day when I purchased it and actually handled one. It makes my military seem small. About like a ManixXL. I really really like it.Mushroom wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 9:04 amSame! Couldn’t pass it up! It’s bigger than I usually like, but the price was right. Couldn't agree more, it's definitely a tank...but an elegant tank! I don't mind the liner lock, but I know that's a feature that keeps a lot of people away from this knife. Had it been manufactured with a back lock or compression lock, I could see this being one of those production models that's tough to keep in stock.DirtMcGirt wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 10:44 amNice combo! This knife already kind of is hard to keep in stock. It’s been out of stock at most places for a little bit now! At least a couple months! :eek:TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 11:18 am

Ohhh, I didn't even realize that! Probably because when I got mine last summer it was available everywhere. Well, good...it deserves to be tough to find :DMushroom wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 11:26 amThis knife already kind of is hard to keep in stock. What kept me away for so long was the negative reviews concerning the liner lock. I found that it doesn’t hurt my thumb like I have read, and it isn’t hard at all for me to access. Another negative thing I read, that isn’t true for me. Although I do agree that a different lock would have propelled it into more hands.TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 11:18 am

And also the laminate cf/g10 kept me away. I didn’t like the idea of non solid cf. Seemed like a cheapo option to me. But now that I actually have held and used it. I think it is my new favorite. I love the bumpy smoothness. It looks phenomenal. And I’m not so worried about dropping it and having it crack. Plus solid cf costs way more.
Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
I've never understood the bap rap cf/g10 laminate gets.
Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Mine was a case of arrogance. Based solely on the opinions of others.
And now I am wondering/hoping for it to be an option with golden models.
I’m done hijacking this thread now. Apologies :o
Awesome pic zippifish!

It certainly is fellas. This is the second one now on Base. A while back one of the Clearance Diver's had an Atlantic Salt in his pocket. :)
