When someone gets these in stock, I should order one along with the Jumpmaster 2 I keep talking about just to get free shipping.
Cutlery Shoppe had a free shipping option for the Bow River. I went for it. I'm in no hurry. I've waited this long. I don't care if they send via bicycle courier

yup. I couldn't believe they gave us free shipping. Do they normally have free shipping for everything?

EDIT: oh never mind, I just looked at their policy. It says: "When selecting our Free Shipping option it will be our choice as to which method we use. If you wish one method over another, please select one of the paid options to make your preferred selection."

Looks like they always have that option for everything you order.

Thank you for the heads up.
I hope Coutellerie Tourangelle will have it cheaper as usual.

I saw that they had stock as well, but I was worried about some of the reviews I read. So let us know how it goes with them?

The BR is hands down the best bang for your buck in the knife world! Everyone needs at least 1!

I'm not really into fixed blades (other than kitchen use) but I have to say that's a really nice looking design. Looking forward to getting mine.

That is exactly why I'm receiving two tomorrow to try out as steak knives... At least that is what I told my better half! ;)

I guess I now have a second BR coming. Just got an email stating that my pre-order shipped from KC. They dinged me $10 for shipping. Ouch!

What a great value. I'd be all over a filet knife version of this with a 7 inch flexible blade. I absolutely love how sharp 8cr13mov gets.

Is anyone else’s not fully sharpened to the choil or is this an intentional design?

I thought the same thing, but I think it’s intentional to allow you to choke up on the choil without getting bit.

I thought everyone already knew this. All promo pics for the last 1 1/2 years or so have shown the edge comes up a little short. Must be so nobody cuts their finger.
