I bought this for the steel, but the smooth G10 made a great first impression and has kept growing on me. It has a very premium feel, for lack of a better term.

The G10 is smoother than the smooth contoured G10 of the Shaman, yet has about as good wet or dry grip as the Ti scales of the SpydieChef (the material independent of the handle shape-- tested with pinch grip).

Kinda surprised these are still in stock.

Well, this happened today. :D Been wanting a Native5LW in Cruwear for a long, long time. My well loved Maxamet blade works well in the smooth G10 handle too. I am quite pleased with this swap.

I was waffling (and losing) on the KC native.... and then I won an auction for a cruwear Millie. Full stop on the native, the fun funds for this month just evaporated!

Did you need to swap the lockbars as well? Been considering doing a swap to get G10 scales with a SE Salt blade.

You should swap the lockbar as well. I always keep the mated blades and lockbars together in all my various swaps (although occasionally I’ll swap a PM2 blade without doing so and those comp locks don’t usually give me issues). Good luck, swapping N5s is a lot of fun and very easy. Cheers, Radioactive

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. Have you (or anyone else for that matter) ever had a N5 swap not work/function?

I did a 3 way n5 swap.

s35vn se, into the lw grey frn handle,
m4 into the lw black frn handle,
maxamet into the jade g10 handle.

All is good.

Darby, when you did the swap did you find the pivot on the Cruwear Native to be keyed with a D-shape on one side?

Nice! I’m debating something similar, swap blade, lockbar and hardware with the BHQ dlc m4.
