Would a knife ban be cool here in the US? Id so, what should it look like?

Please don't get mad, I'm just asking. Obviously I say nay, but maybe it's time to listen to the people that wish to have no way to open the Amazon boxes that come 2-3 times a week, or even cut the food on their plate, but I'm not picking sides.
Can you find it and can it cut?

Hahahahahahaha.... sorry Crux, I voted to ban you for bringing it up.

I think that the US Federal Govt should unanimously pass a Bill that would force people over 21 to carry a firearm or knife with a 5 inch blade. I do not believe in any "gun laws" as they are all in some way against the 2nd Amendment, which shall not be infringed.

I do not own any firearms at the moment but have in the past.

I am a member of the USCCA, NRA, GOA and "Knife Rights." I carry knives. Always have a folder (3 to 4 inch blade) and one larger fixed blade on me (4 to 6 inch blade).
I support the 2nd Amendment Organizations of GOA, NRA, FPC, SAF, and "Knife Rights"

I vote for free knives. Once a year you will recieve a check for at least $203.42 to go toward a quality cutting tool. This will be funded by heavily auditing state governments and re-directing the wasted money, especially the wasted money that goes into people's pockets.

BLASPHEMY!!!! An outrage of Titanic proportions

Our precious Second Amendment of the USA Constitution that gives us the right to bear arms also applies to knives as well as it does guns

Not to mention a blue collar worker's uses for a knife are almost too numerable to mention.

No we need to go forward and not backward. A knife ban here in the USA would be similar to banning cable TV, Pro Sports and Movies.

Just the idea is a complete and total outrage

Not being American, not sure I can vote. :)

Either ways it couldn’t possibly be more than a minor inconvenience. Surely you could use the bayonets off your assault rifles to open packages and the like. ;)

Ban them all in the US put them all in a big box and send them to Australia
We will put them to good use to protect us from the wildlife that has kept our population low for so many years

This very idea is unAmerican and immoral, and racist.

I disagree. Banning cable, pro sports and movies wouldn't bother me at all, but I feel sorry for the first fifty people they send to get my knives.

Even in the most secure prison systems they can't keep knives out of the hands of criminals. And look at the UK them poor folks can't even hardly carry a slippy. Bad people will always find a way to do bad things. It's up to us to be armed in a manner which will dissuade them from being POS. And for us to shoot back.

1). I doubt many people in a Spyderco forum would vote that a knife ban would be cool.

2). The best-looking knife ban is the one that never exists.

They're gonna have to ban keys and ballpoint pens too if they really want to keep me out of my Amazon boxes!
