I thought I had seen it all, but no.

Knife scales made of cow dung and pink resin, on a le London style slipjoint in a French knife shop.

I bought the one with ebony scales and Canadian maple inlay instead....

...they were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.

Half curious what it looks like.

Yeah I think that about covers it. Lol :D

Seriously that is pretty weird! I wouldn't mind seeing a picture either.

I've seen knives with coprolite (fossilized poop) scales. Heck, they even make jewelry out of the stuff. As for the stabilized cow poop, I'd have to see it to pass judgment. Almost wonder if the folks who made those were listening a few years back when I said I'd prefer scales of stabilized dog poop to peel-ply G-10. ;)

It looked like mottled corian until you got close, when you could see the strands of grass... It didn’t smell though.

The only pics of the material I could find on the web:

Doesn’t look too bad Chris. It’d be a bit of a curio if nothing else. :)

t think he means 'apocryphal' at 0:03, but says 'aprofical'. Not sure if the story true, but interesting nonetheless.
