native 5 salt action

#1

Post by lonerider1013 »

Got my native salt and am loving it. But the action out of the box was smooth, but a day of futzing with it it is stiff halfway open. I've heard these have no washers so.... will it break in or should I lube it, and if so with what?
Thanks.

Mine was similar. Others probably have better advice, but I just blue lubed it and used it a bunch. It's better now.

i took mine apart and cleaned it. there’s a bunch of grease in there. by the time i took mine apart, it was black and it almost stained the handle.

Rinse it out with hit water, lube with what you got, adjust the pivot if you need and use it alot. I can flick mine open now!

Mine smoothed out with time, but was extra stiff at first.

I've used mine a bunch and lubed it but it's still stiffer than any of my other Native 5 variations.
