Nice, Wartstein!
Thanks! Preparing dinner outside on a fire (using a SPYDIE for that of course ;) ) is always nice, indeed... :)
The pic not so much... did not catch the feather stick when really in flames.

I've bought Spyderco Tenacious on Monday. This is my first Spyderco and I'm excited about it.
Cut food for dinner yesterday. It's just perfect.
Can't wait to go in the country to cut some wood :)

Welcome to the forum! :)

Never had a Tenacious myself, but I like a lot about this knife and think it's a great first Spyderco (or even only Spyderco).

And, yes, bring and use it outdoors, that's where I also like to use my Spydies the most.

Thanks a lot! It's not about using but even feel the new knife in the pocket is a pleasure :) Especially if it is Spyderco.

To show our new E&I tech how easy and convenient the Spyder hole is to open a knife, vs thumb studs. One of the other guys brought him over to my area to introduce me to him...and because I'm known as "the knife guy" and he noticed the new guy had a pocket clip and showed him his Benchmade Bugout. Apparently he asked him, "that's a more expensive brand knife isn't it?" To which he replied "yes" and then was told...I've got just the guy for you to meet. Hahahaha

We shot the breeze for about 10 minutes, checking out each others knives. His is a black blade, with kind of olive green scales, different from the others I've seen (granted I don't really follow BM) He's never tried a Spyderco knife, so I offered him my Urban AEB-L that I have on me today...see if he wanted to carry it around for the day...trusting him as his knife was in good shape, nice and clean. He said he'd love to. I told him if he likes fidgeting with his knives a bit, I'll bring in something that's a little more fun tomorrow (most likely the Para 3 LW as it seems quite comparable to the Bugout) I'm now just carrying my new SAK for the day. Will be fun to put it to work like I do my Spydercos!

Interested in what he thinks by the end of the day, and always fun to make a new knife friend :)

I bet he'll think " the lock on Spydies is pretty weak"... :p

Hahaha, I made sure he knew that was a non locking knife! Right away he thought the half stop was pretty cool and liked the wire clip.

Thanks for welcoming!
There was nothing to cut so I deployed my Spyderco back and forth 🙂 It's pleasant to touch.

Just used my Smock to cut some weed trimmer line. Earlier this a.m. a much more important task, freeing my tassimo coffee disks from their packaging imprisonment.
