Can't go wrong with REX45... I don't really buy for aesthetics but the Pakkawood Shaman looks glorious.... I don't know what would be better looking, a perfect stain-free Satin finish, or a patina (with chance of rust). If only there were steels that ONLY patina'd and never rusted, haha. Vanax SC is just a pipe dream. It would probably be a $300+ piece. But I'll probably be after one regardless of steel choice. I bet we'll see Salt versions soon enough as well, many choices for blade swaps.

I just wonder if that is a KC exclusive?

The other Pakkawood exclusives were HAP40 and commissioned by KC so it is feasible that this is another KC exclusive and being a Golden model using the domestic equivalent to HAP40 would make sense.

Maybe the next HAP40 run will be heat treated similarly to how REX 45 was.
