Cru-wear Delica
Re: Cru-wear Delica
Popular model and a steel that people go crazy for, run in a limited number... can’t wait to watch the secondary market prices on these skyrocket...

You've been loving that M390 Delica...would be interesting to see which you prefer if you end up with both. The Meat man wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 6:44 pmWow this is a surprise! It's going to be super tempting for sure.

Re: Cru-wear Delica
I thought the same for years.
Don’t dismiss the notch as a choil. It gives great purchase for detail work and safeguards your finger when dropping the blade closed. The Delica is a highly evolved knife that will make you wonder whether you would have bought the Spydies you have had you bought it first.
With the arrival of my first(!) Endura this morning, I’m wondering all over again... Sorta thought I had an Endura with my PE and SE Pacific Salts, but they have different blade geometries.
Anyway, I didn’t see a Cruwear Delica coming. Seems like US and European steels in Japan-made Spydies is going to be a thing. Don’t miss out.

Re: Cru-wear Delica
Depends on how they price them... for example, the BBS M390 Delica is still available at $109. I have a feeling that if they priced it at say $90 they would've sold out in an hour and been on ebay or other forums buy/sell/trade for $150 now.
Re: Cru-wear Delica
Oh I know, i have the Pakkawood model...I've just grown to love the full choil. Which is funny how some are the opposite and won't buy a knife that has one.

Yeah I'm thinking this would be a good head-to-head comparison. :)TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 6:47 pmYou've been loving that M390 Delica...would be interesting to see which you prefer if you end up with both. The Meat man wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 6:44 pmWow this is a surprise! I would be even more excited if this were an Endura, but realistically speaking, the Delica is more than enough blade to suit my needs.
I'm stoked that we're starting to see more and more of these US and European steels in the Seki line!

Re: Cru-wear Delica
I could take or leave the finger groove. I like it on models that have it and don't miss it one bit on models that don't. I enjoy the longer cutting edge on the models without it. And...while the Delica doesn't have a dedicated finger groove you can move your finger foward if you really want. I do it sometimes but not a lot. Heck I don't I even use the finger groove very much any more. If I need to cut something with really fine detail I grab the X-acto knife I keep on my workbench.
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!
Re: Cru-wear Delica
As I was just thinking about the M390 Delica. Few more days and I would’ve probably ordered that one.
Cruwear it is.
Cruwear it is.

The interesting thing is it says "Brand new item directly from Lone Star Wholesale." in the description on GPKnives. So I am wondering if GP bought the whole run from Lone Star, or if perhaps there are other dealers that will have this??

A surprise to me. This leads me to the next obvious question about Cruwear Endura's. That's something I have wanted for a very long time. I'm hoping to see one someday. I guess I'll keep hoping now that it seems more possible.

Re: Cru-wear Delica
Not that I am complaining because I am definitely grabbing one of these, but I would have NEVER in a million years expected this before a Cruwear Native LW or Manix LW. Still shocked that those haven't been done yet.

Dang, they don't ship to Canada. They have the option to put in a Canadian address, but then says they can't ship to this region.

Yes, thread title leads you to believe this post is a request for a sprint. You then say to yourself, "that sounds pretty awesome, let me express my interest" then BAM! It's already happening! Holy freakin moly. That's how you sell some knives. Count me the f in.
