I have sent my Yojimbo to Wiley for this purpose. I will report back when I get the knife.
Did this ever happen? I don't remember seeing pics.

I never heard him say one way or the other. I've never even got to chat with anyone over at Bladeforums that had it done>> even though I've heard a lot of guys over there at BF swear that Wiley Knives did good work.
I haven't seen Tvenuto around in a while. It's been at least two months since I've talked to him.
This is a 2018 thread and I've not heard anyone say one way or the other

I'd also prefer serrations that are just as effective on push strokes as pull strokes. Sometimes it's safer and more convenient to slice by pushing.

I'm kind of a DIY guy in most situations, and I could see myself using a dremel and a jig to make my own serrations. I'd probably keep it simple and make them all the same size, the size of the larger serrations on a spyderedged knife. This way I'd have more options in sharpening, including using my DMT sharpening rods to sharpen it.

Here a photo of a C14 that Willey Knives re-serrated for a customer of ours in 2016. A first rate job!

Veff serrations are the business.
No idea if they are more effective or anything but they look flipn sweet
Glad you brought up VEFF. They did a really interesting thread over at Bladeforums.com some time back. They also sell a kit for sharpening serrations that look interesting. I'm really glad you brought that up "Daveho" because I had just totally forgotten their name. It's been some time since I see that thread of theirs. I was in the middle of moving at that time I seen their thread over at BF and was unable to focus on it because of moving. I was asking a lot of people who it was besides Willey that did serrations on plain edged knives and it seemed like no one else knew at the time. Everyone should check out Veff's serration sharpening kit. I'm going to get one before the year is out.

I also remember that the VEFF serration pattern looked rather interesting as well.

Sorry to report that CRKT discontinued the VEFF1 Veff Sharp Sharpening Kit over two years ago.

Perhaps Tom may a have a few left: http://veffsharpening.com/

In case anyone is interested, here is the design patent for the Veff Serration: http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Pars ... N/D559,939
