Those are terrific photos Peter!

Not as much variety for me I'm afraid.

Thanks. Here are the Scientists responsible for those leftover parts that went into the Rerun.

Where's the best place to get one of these TEC clips I'm seeing? Would love one of those instead of the knife riding in the bottom of my pocket, clanging around with my keys!

Or, I think you can order something like it directly from Victorinox.

Yeah, I can never afford them, so I killed a few Explorers and Bantams and made my own.

D’oh. Looking back, I get it now. I was thinking you sacrificed them. Excellent work!

Some more Victorinox issues and questions, I would welcome all of your views:

1 If you had a choice between one of the new Alox handled lock blade folders that have a single blade, vs, one of the lock blade Victorinox folders that have multi blades, like the Ranger or other series, which would you choose and which would you advise someone else to choose?

2 I read that Victorinox makes a Multi Tool oil. Is this the same as the other knife lubricants you have discussed or even better?

3 I read that Victorinox makes a sortof stainless steel multi clip carry chain, what do you think of that for a practical carry option?

I will post pictures of these two accessory items:

The chain:

The oil:

Drop (formerly Massdrop) has the Victorinox Alox Champagne series on sale. The Classic is $29, Cadet $37, and Pioneer $42. I ordered the Cadet and it was free shipping and no sales tax collected. Everywhere else I looked had the Cadet for $47. Drop has the Cadet 20 percent off basically.

Got my TEC clip today... so tiny! But seems strong with good retention. Will be nice not having the knife clanging around with keys, change, phone etc. Well worth $11.

I just picked up a Wenger Solder...dated 1967, my birthyear! It's in incredibly good shape, with the silver alox scales not showing a scratch.

I see KC has a Pioneer exclusive available. I'm not sure if it's anything special besides their brand on the scales, but thought I'd bring it up in case anybody has missed it and would be interested.

My favorite Victorinox is the one I share my birthyear with...Mine is from 1977...It shows a few scratches but is still in good shape.

I think it only differs of the regular Pioneer X in the red color of the scales and their logo engraved in the back scale...the scissors are a nice addition to the Pioneer.
