What "others" are in the mail?

If your topic has nothing to do with Spyderco, you can post it here.

You guys finally did it to me...Victorinox Hiker Memphis Belle inbound from DLT! I've never been so excited for a $25 knife :D (thank you rewards points!)
Not a fan of the immodest logo, but that's a great knife.
That's the thing with Victorinox: not only are they high quality knives but they cost half the price of an inexpensive Spyderco! ;) I am considering getting a Trekker, but also have my eye on the Alox Swiss Army 7.

I couldn't pass it up with that logo though. It reminds me of my grandfather's tattoo from his old days in the Navy. Or as a kid, it was "the pretty lady on his arm" too which my grandmother would then latch onto his arm and say "who me??" hahaa :) An old school nail nick, SAK knife with a bit of military feel to it. It just feels right!

If anybody finds the design offensive, just let me know (especially the ladies we have here) I won't post photos of that side of the knife. I didn't think of it as offensive, because to me it brings back funny memories with my grandparents, but I will certainly take others feelings into account!

I understand what you are saying Rick, and it isn't my intent to cause an issue.

It's all good man. :)

I did it. I finally succumbed. I've been eyeing this for the last couple years. I had some overtime pay and I just couldn't take it when I was pursuing DLT. I don't need this knife. Not sure what I'm even gonna do with it. It is a big, 4" modern stiletto. But I'm going to be a happy boy when it shows up.

I've got two Civivi Elementums in the mail. One with grey g10 and one with ebony wood. Hair under 3" blade, hollow ground d2 steel, and not weird design. I'm stoked. Didn't really mean to get two but I'll gift or do something with whichever I like least. My Civivi Backlash was awesome. Super thin behind the edge, and a really good flipper action. More crisp than some of my previous ZTs and way better than my Advocate's action. Hopefully the action on these is just as good. I may do a comparison against the Delica and Chaparral after I use them for a bit as those will be what they're competing against.

May be hard to beat the Chap though. I was slicing up some old shirts to make rags today with the chap. Sliced through the shirts as easy as phone book paper.

No knives for a while... but things that have a shaving sharp edge attached to a long handle? Oh yeah. Fiskars x25 inbound. Drooling and bidding on something old, wonderful, and hung on hickory on epay too!

I do too, I was thinking about knives that I missed having.

I used to have a Randall 1-7/ O1 Leather handle, brass guards etc until it came up missing about 30 years ago...

So I figured I would replace it, so I picked a better one, more options. :)

Knives with sentimental value are even more enjoyable to use. Enjoy your Randall.

I doubt I will have to worry about that happening again.
