I like the P4 Lite Wt. A small model like the Manbug or Starling is usually with it.

sal
I'm sure I'm going to like the lightweight too. The Police4 G-10 with K390 is something speacial though. A little sad it will be discontinued. Really glad you and the big knife afi's talked me into trying one :D

The G-10 P4 is not scheduled to be disco'd. I'm just guessing that sales will be slow due to the high cost and it will probably not be remade.

sal
Thanks for the clarification Sal. Personally considering what you get for the money I think the P4 is well worth the cost.

What I'm comfortable carrying and what I'm legally allowed to carry are two different things. I really like the Endura and Military and I suspect that I'd also enjoy a Police 4. Like most have said in this thread weight is more of a concern that size to me. Due to Colorado laws I'm usually carrying a PM2 or Manix 2 LW paired with a SAK Recruit.

I love my Militaries, but they are too big in pocket and in the eyes of the beholders to carry around town or put in use around gentlefolk. So their use is confined to my outdoor activities.

GB2 is only slightly smaller, slightly heavier but classy and not as pointy/aggressive looking, so it is my biggest EDC/general use folder.
Past: Dragonfly, Air, Rhino, Lil' Native, Techno 2, Caly Jr., Brouwer, Chap LW, Para3, N5, Watu, ‘Chef, Mantra 2, SSStretch, PM2, Smock, Shaman, Advocate, GB2, Kapara, Military, Bradley Bowie, Province

Present: P4 K390 FRN

Future: Para3 Cruwear (someday)

Regrets: Most of them

Mili - every day (at home) - I have found the extra blade length is really useful and have no problem carrying it (either RFP or LFP). I don't have yet a P4 or Chief, but I am sure they will be equally edc-able.
In the office I go for more discreet carry, which usually means a PM3 (PM2 at most).
Looking forward to the Cruwear Shaman (fingers crossed) for chore coat pocket.
I second the request for a flash batch of Tatankas with a steel upgrade (cruwear of course :) )

When I'm not working I regularly carry a Military in M4. Dope knife for sure.

I don't think I would go larger than a Military though.

I have carried a Military since the ATS34 came out. I love the as an EDC. The Resilience is also a great size and a combo edge would be added to my users as well if it was available. I recently had the opportunity to try a Tatanka and loved the size. It just opened and fit so well.

I guess it's just what you are used to. However for me the Military is the perfect large EDC if only it had a stronger tip.

I liked my PM2 for its size, not Bug, not small. But after I bought Chief I realized, that a bit bigger is múch nicer.
Looking forward for Caribbean or Military.

Military. It's my main EDC. IMO one of the best designs ever of a modern folder. Sal is a humble genius.

Going to have to second this. I carry the satin digi-camo Millie frequently.

It depends on context.
If I’m going to my kid’s school, 2.5” is the legal limit and I take the urban.
In the office and around clients, 3” is good. Para 3, caly 3, etc.
if I’m hiking, camping, working on the house, no limit. Pm2, manix, or spyderhawk for the House, 100 pacer for camping, etc.

I think the Military is the biggest Spyderco I have. I've got a couple random brand knives that are bigger but they don't get carried for other reasons. Size isn't really a limiting factor, it's more about the overall design.

Police 4 is my largest and I have no problem using it. But the Military sees a lot more action, so more comfortable with it. Cutting, pocketing, opening, closing, various grips, more natural with the Military.

Make it a reverse tanto and I'll buy 2.

Endura 4/Pacific Salt. They're really larger than I like but they carry so effortlessly and do so many things so well that I just deal with the size.
