Reaaly nice job. Looks beautiful. My Li'l Native would benefit from that treatment. The corners are too blocky and harsh.

Aaaanyway ya'll probably didn't even read that and are looking at pics anyway so here ya go.
Haha! I went back up to read after a bit of drooling. Awesome work! Looks like it could’ve come straight from Spyderco like that. :spyder:

I think it looks awesome. I dont think you need to do any more work on the scales. But, like with any creator, you are your own toughest critic.

Nice job. Did you also polish the hardware? Looks like it has a little extra bling to it.

Just the clip. It was kinda dull in the beginning but once I put it on the knife again it just looked horrible so it got polished.

I wish they would bring back micarta. I find smooth micarta grips a lot better than smooth G10. Nice mod David.

Beautiful work.
I am a huge fan of good design ergos and smooth scales - this one now seems about perfect.

Here's the 2.0 version. I wasn't in love with the polish so I worked on it to try to expose more of the grain. It's a delicate process because it's easy to expose a layer and then go right past it again, and before you know it you've sanded too much. Also decided to polish the spine and choil of the blade and the back spacer...may as well go full bling with it.

Looks custom. Well done, David. How’s the grippiness?

Pretty much non existent besides the ergonomics. I'd like it to be a little thicker in a production run.

David,

How well do you think this could be done to a PM2? Getting the contoured scales could solve my itch for the Shaman! :D

Thanks!

Looks fantastic. Impressive that you didn’t end up with screws sticking out due to the curves. I need to learn how to do that.

I made some custom scales for my ouroboros but the handles couldn’t be more different from yours. Blocky and pointy and orange. Maybe next time I’ll try contouring and polishing like you did.

You can definitely polish it but you may not be able to get as much grain to show through. You need to really contour it a good amount to get that much grain to show, and on a PM2 I think you'd end up going too far and expose a liner if you tried. I would talk with someone who makes custom scales and ask for them to make some extra thick and then they can be contoured down to look like this.
