Re: Spyderco Para 3 Varieties, News & Modifications
Loving my Para 3 LW right now! I can't wait to see what Para 3 LW exclusives we get. Someone said Eric mentioned at one of the shows that there are 20+ exclusives for the P3LW in the pipeline!! I hope we see some of the more rare steels like 3V, AEB-L, K390, CPM-154, and Elmax. And some Cruwear and 4V and XHP would be nice.

Maybe this means the Maxamet Para 3 LW will be coming soon as well

Re: Spyderco Para 3 Varieties, News & Modifications
Considering Maxamet seems to be a standard production steel, and I haven't seen anything in the reveals, we're probably a minimum of a few months out if it even shows up in the next reveal. Maybe if someone has an exclusive in the works, but I don't think I've seen an exclusive for either PM2/3 in Maxamet yet.steelcity16 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 12:28 pm

Yep, I would expect it in the next reveal as well.

Got a Maxamet Para 3 on the way too from a dealer in Vancouver.

Man, these go fast. Had one in the cart at DLT and then stock went out while I was typing in CC info.
Just got one from Knifeworks, in case anybody is looking.

The exact same thing happened to me at DLT, and I literally went there from an in-stock notification email right after receiving it.
Luckily I was also able to grab one at Knifeworks

Re: Spyderco Para 3 Varieties, News & Modifications
How is this even possible? Were these dealers sitting on these all these months while many starved to skin and bones on the waitlist? Is this some kind of 5th column approach to dominate the late market and confuse the rest of us?
My suggestion is that the Spyderco Defense League be dispatched to investigate exactly what is happening and bring any rouge agents to justice, but that's just me, just trying to maintain some semblance of order and decorum while others watch the world burn and laugh.

Looks like the Spyderco C223GPDGY Para 3 Maxamet satin plain blade with dark gray G10 handles has gone on sale at KnifeCenter and KnifeWorks for $191.75. They are a different option for the Maxamet steel than the original C223GDGY .

Geeez, I like the Para 3 and all...but almost $200. That's an easy pass.

Re: Spyderco Para 3 Varieties, News & Modifications
I'm confused. I bought a C223GPDGY from BladeHQ in late June. I also bought C223GPDGY from an eBay seller in early June. They look exactly the same as the KnifeCenter offering.
In addition, I can't seem to find a C223GDGY anywhere, and the image from Spyderco looks like it's much darker.

What's up with these two different SKUs? Is there really a C223GDGY?
