The Para3 would be my number one because of the various scenarios a have put it through, the blade size as well as the many grips that I apply with it. Since I have the Para3 in different steels( 4V, S90V, REX45, M4) I would choose it in 4V steel. As for my second, I choose the Shaman as it has a larger/ longer blade and very comfortable handle. As for the steel( with as many steel options I have in my knife collection) I would actually have my Shaman as is in S30V.
Every Steel Has Its Appeal

Sensible choice! I am a backlock guy, but other than that I can see your combo working for me either.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

if i had to only have two, it would be my manix lw in xhp and my pacific salt. if i could only have one, it would be my native salt to cover all bases. if i could dream a little, it would be a manix salt and a caribbean 2 (with a redesigned handle without a pinky hook) in sheepsfoot se.
So: If you could have TWO, you'd choose two bigger knives, but if you only could have ONE it would be one smaller?
Or do you mean, that the Native Salt, while being small, on the other hand would give you a plain edge plus total corrosion resistance plus better edge retention than the H1 of the Pac. Salt?

yes. i prefer the manix to the native, but the native is perfectly fine for edc and combines similar ergos and edge holding of the manix with rust-proofness of the pacific.

I left out sentimental knives because they just sit in the safe. I have two knives that I received as gifts that don't get carried and if I picked those two then I would have to carry a non Spydie daily and we know that ain't happening.

If these were my only two Spydies I could get by. To be honest I could probably sell all my folders (and retire ;) ) and just get by with that Cruwear Military. I cannot think of one time I have ever carried it and thought to myself that I wish I had left the house with a different knife. It is the most versatile folder I own.

Then there is the Maxamet Native5LW. It has the highest power to weight ratio of any production knife ever made. :D

Also very good and sensible choice imho, edge-length-wise just a bit longer than what I did choose (Endura/ Stretch 1 instead of Millie, Chap instead of Native...)

one would be the native but I'll be darned if I can figure out what the other should be...
Hmmmm... You have an orange Endura, don't you? :D
Yeh but I just got the sage it's like a cross between the native and the para3...

It it strange that I’ve started holding a straightedge over knife pics to see what it would look like with a straight spine? :D
I absolutely love the para3

If I could only have two Spyderco knives, my first pick would be Jumpaster 2 in SE, and my 2nd knife would be the Bob Lum Darn Dao -OR- Native 5 in Maxamet.

Definitely a Shaman as my user (I don’t own the S90V but I’m partial to it if I had to choose) and either or the para 3 or chaparral!

I apologize if my post goes through twice my internet said error when hitting submit! But I would choose the shaman as my beater and either a para 3 or chaparral as my edc/practical use!

If you already have an Endura, it doesn't really matter any more what you choose for the second knife imho... :D

Just out of interest: If you could have a totally rust proof Police 4, would that be your only EDC folder in this "only two knives scenario" or still the Pac. Salt?

oh man... if there was a police 4 in lc200n, i’d be all over it. especially if it was g10 with liners.

.. I'm glad I live in a world where this question is only hypothetical..

Exactly, bro, but if I had to choose today, it would be Delica wharncliffe PE and Pacific Salt SE. Both serious cutting machines that are unequaled.
