Autonomy parts kit

#1

Post by VashHash »

Just figured I'd post this since I haven't seen it anywhere yet. This is what you receive in the autonomy parts kit. Seems like a pretty good deal for $15 and $2 shipping. I like that spyderco offers this so I could fix the knife if the spring breaks.
1- USA made T 10 wrench
1- blade guard
1- pivot screw
1- module wrench
2- coil springs
1- tube of blue loctite
1- instruction pamphlet

I ordered two of these when I first got my Autonomy, thinking I'd like to have a couple for when they inevitably get discontinued, only to find out that each kit already comes with 2 springs so now I've got 4. I should be set for life I think.

Yeah I also bought 2. Put mine in the salt water this weekend and the spring seems fine so far. I did rinse it and put some tuf glove on the spring after. I wanted the kit for the tool too. Just incase sand got stuck in the spring module. Seems like it all rinsed out.

First time I had mine apart I didn't even know there was a tool let alone how to put it back together. I managed to get it seated just by pressing my thumb on it really hard and turning it until the springs seated. Then I got the kit and saw the tool and just rolled my eyes at myself.

Yes. It's the same spring module. I actually own the autonomy 2.
