Nothing there for me, have the Native Chief and an Manix2 XL DLC inbound and unless the Parata releases or a 20CV Para3 or something in Cruwear, comes out or perhaps a smaller 100 Pacer Sal hinted at a few months back, well fellas enjoy the upcoming stuff.

I'm kind of bummed. I was excited about the title of the thread, but I find that Chaparral a bit tacky The Dodo seems interesting, but more of a novelty piece and probably a bit of a pain to sharpen. No damage done to the wallet here!

Thanks for adding the photos. For those that think it looks tacky, I do have to say I think it looks better in the video, and someone above said it looked great in person.

By nature a design like this won't be for everyone, but I'd reserve judgment of the actual execution of the design until you see more photos/videos/angles. The rounding of the scales, the polish, full view of the clip, and seeing the knife opened are all important to evaluate a knifes aesthetic.

Either way I'm stoked

No, I think both scales would look sweet as a pair, and you'd have a back up for good measure. Not a bad idea!

Like the first gen Solos, less than 50 made with black and white micarta (stainless bolsters, linerlock, lobe opener), 2.5 inch blade
Followed by all black version, about 500 made.
Then 3.5 inch version, all black, ca. 500 made.
Other Solo models also made, incl. buttonlocks. I have some Solos stashed away; the sun/moon is prettiest.

"Solo. sub-brand Made by Spyderco." (clear it with The Deacon ;-)

Upcoming Chappie looks good.
