Lil Native Lightweight?

#1

Post by Ez556 »

New to the forum, been lurking from google for a while. I’m wondering if anyone else would love to see a lil Native in a lightweight, FRN type flavor as much as I would. Assuming it’d have to be a backlock I think it would be a great “American Dragonfly” so to speak. I think that a lighter weight, liner-less lil Native that can come in under $100 would be an awesome addition to the Native family and make a better companion to a Native 5 lightweight compared to the current lil natives that are more expensive and “beefier” than their bigger siblings.

Does that complexity decrease the simplicity? Not at all.

Oh man I can't wait! I'm a huge fan of small FRN knives (Caly Jr, chaparral LW, and of course DF2). There just so practical. It'll be nice to see a Native LW made in Golden!

I am in if it has a metal backspacer like the Chapparal Lightweight. FRN backspacers like the D4 and DF2 are a pain to disassemble a d reassemble.

I won't say a wire clip is a must on a Lil Native LW but it would sure make it better (IMO).

Amazing! So happy to hear that! Thanks Sal, I appreciate it. XHP would definitely be interesting for sure. I just hope there are colors!

I was just looking at a picture of the Lil Native and the thought of a lightweight model occurred to me, and it just may be enough to dethrone the Dragonfly for me. Make a SE Salt version and I'm in.

FRN PE LC200N Salt will be a great little knife. Hopefully there is a murdered out black/black version!

I would really like a Cruwear Lil Native LW as well. Grey FRN and DLC.

Please add spine and choil jimping to the LW! It is sorely missed on the G10 Lil Native. :(

Yes indeed! Add a wire clip, spine and choil jimping, and make it an LC200N Salt and these will FLY. A tiny little lightweight rustproof comp lock would be a super useful and fun little knife.
