Here's another one you don't see every day,
Ti Salsa
I've been trying to find one of those forever.

That was always the "one" Salsa model I wish I would have kept for my small/short bladed models. It was the only Salsa unit with ATS-34 blade steel ( which I always kind of liked) and the workmanship on the Titanium handle was great. AT one time I had one of the Ti Salsa models along with a Cranberry colored AUS-8 unit and they made a really nice looking pair that I would sometimes have on my desk for "show & tell".Sumdumguy wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 5:01 pmI don't like you very much right now :PLarry_Mott wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 2:37 amLovely Calypso! Beautiful, one of my last grails that always slips away. She is my Eleanor.

Yeah, they're hard to come by... Especially the micarta ones.
I too love the old micarta models. Carrying these beauties today for Throwback Thursday. Little brother to the C54DutchBlades wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 11:51 amYeah, they're hard to come by... Especially the micarta ones.
When they're put up sale once in a blue moon, they tend be something else which is gone in 60 seconds :p
Worthy of being a grail for sure.
I had to pay a pretty penny to customs when picking up the package a few years back, but it was so worth it!
I've just got a soft spot for the old micarta models; and coincidentally, I was carrying another one today :)
This one doesn't get a lot of pocket time, but Thursdays give me an excuse to take out some of the less seen models.

I love the Junior's as well! :)
Fortunately picked this one up just a few weeks ago. Had to do some fine tuning on it, but with the already provided scratches, I had no apprehensions from throwing it into the pocket and immediately putting it to hard use. The action on the SS models is smoother if that's any consolation.DutchBlades wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 1:15 pmI love the Junior's as well! :)
(Caly 3 and 3.5 get more pocket time, just wish it had the Calypso swedge...)
And the ATR is a no-brainer; sadly I don't have the Ti version myself One of my grails.
