I passed on the 2018 forum knife also because of the inlay and steel choice. I still think they should make a Jester forum knife since it is such a popular model on the forum.

I passed for the same reasons. Also, the PM2 is not even in my top 20 models. I am however going to get the DLT PM2 as that is more my style. It will be my only PM2. You have to own one just because...its a PM2

Jester is a great suggestion also! I agree with you and Ferider that the forum knives should be models and steel/color combos that likely wouldn't get made otherwise, but is something that is constantly discussed on the forum. Jester and Manix XL are both prime examples!

For a Jester I would love an H1 Jester Salt in both PE and SE options with TiCN coating and a neon glow in the dark FRN! Those would be amazing little knives! I would buy a few of each PE and SE and I'm sure others would buy multiples as well. I would think these wouldn't stick around long due to being inexpensive, a rare model, a salt model, etc.

As far as the forum branding, I hate anything like that on blades or handles aside from the very cool H1 and LC200N logos. Or the little square H Heinnie Haynes logo was alright. If there was something small and unobtrusive like that I would like it better.

I passed on the 2018 because the PM2 is not my favorite knife. I do not hate it, but there are other knives I would rather have. Now that the NC is coming out, I am even less interested in the PM2.

The forum native looked nicer in my opinion, but I do agree.

I prefer them, as well. It keeps the cost down and they are something I would actually carry on a day to day basis.

+1! I would buy this in an instant no matter the steel or handle material/color. I thought a Jester in VG-10 and Navy FRN was going to make it back into production but I guess it fell through the cracks and I haven’t heard anything about it in a long time..

A Dragonfly would be a nice option, as well. It could be Nishijin, G10, or pine cone. A LW would be fine, too. They could make it in some exotic steel we have not seen much of, if at all. Remember, they are like popcorn. You cannot get just one.

Pretty sure it should be a Delica wharnie with a cool, hard working steel.

I think a Manbug with a cruwear blade, black carbon fiber scales, and a wire clip would be the perfect 2019 Forum Knife. I'd be down for a handful myself! :D

Maybe this Street Beat sprint could be the forum knife? Fixed blades are always popular.

Make this K390 and I would be with you.

I thought about this more, and I think the thing to push for is the Native Chief as a forum knife.

I am dragging my feet towards getting a Chief and having it as a forum knife would certainly push me over the edge.

Let's wait till there will (hopefully) be a Chief lightweight FRN... :D

I think it should be made in Golden. My choice would be K390 or 20CV. Forum knife didn't do well because of the inlay I think.

Really wanna sell fast make it a Dodo

Or one of the hot releases from the last 6 months that sell out instantly
S30V, VG10, M4, XHP, BD1, Cruwear, Elmax, Maxamet, 204P, H1, K390, A11, Rex45, LC200N, M390, 20CV, BD1N, S45VN waiting to afford MagnaCut

Make it a back lock and engrave on the backspacer. More tasteful and subdued is better.

While it being a Spyderco Forum Knife made it a must have for me. It's the first PM2 I ever purchased, and it will be the last unless Spyderco again chooses to use the PM2 platform for a Forum model. Heck, even though I'm no fan of non-locking folders, or serrations, or black blades, I'd be up for an FRN UKPK with a serrated black drop point blade. Kidding aside, I suspect that, whether it be this year or a few years down the road, when we see another Forum knife it will be a US made model.

I was going to suggest this as well. Stamping "Forum Knife 2019" on the spine the same way Adventure Sworn spine stamps their knives. I totally agree this would be much subdued and tasteful. It would probably help sell a lot more of these as it is not in your face, but it still makes the knife special.

I really don't like anything too loud. I even refuse to buy knives with collector club #s. The H1 and LC200N logos are nice though. And the little square H on the Heinnie Haynes UKPK was nice and subdued.
