If the 2018 were a Blade HQ exclusive it would have sold out in a day. :)

Haven't they (forum knives) historically been Golden made models? Native/PM2. I'd prefer to see this continued. I'll vote for the Native Chief!

I'd like to see a fluted CF Chief!

I've always passed on the forum knives because they're small. I've been here way too long to not have a single forum knife ever join my collection.

The Spyderco crew typically want a model that will appeal to the broadest forum audience. A short run of $300+ hundred pacers would be the opposite of this.

In my time here, I've learned that these threads usually don't have any impact on whether a forum knife happens, or which model is chosen, but we like to dream.

I think the Chaparral lw would make for a good platform for a forum knife. For me a knife everone should own (say I, beeing NOT into small folders generally) - and if only just for experiencing the phenomenal lock and how slicey and still solid thin stock (2mm) can be.

Than, not unimportant for a forum knife, it should be legal in many places

And, for those out there with really big hands it is probably the "better DFly"...

I would assume we would need to do separate polls for model, then steel, then color. That said, I am also on board with a Chap LW! A Chap LW Salt with a neon FRN handle and DLC blade would be awesome!
What a great proposal!!!

And I want to repeat: Wouldn't it be nice to have a forum knife that could be carried legally in most places due to it's small size?
(I know, even better would be a slipjoint in that regard.. Still, very selfishly, please no...
Venom green FRN TRANSLUCENT, LC200N blade and other Salt fixings, with DLC coating, is a knife I would definitely buy.

I still like polished ivory G10 scales (or Micarta). If scales were wood, I would want actual black ebony with real desert ironwood or purple heart as secondary choices, nicely finished and polished.

Another vote for a LC200N Chaparral Salt (but please keep it classy... no flashy colors)
But still a (for Spyderco) rare color? Maybe a really dark, classy, non-flashy red? (On the regular "Chap-textured" FRN handle?)
I'm fine with any color as long as it can be carried in an office environment (and I don't work in an office most of the time).

Ooh ooh ooh, this!

That would be the only linerless version I would buy. I wanted the Native 5 fluted cf, but never could justify it because of the size.

I'd also be down for a fluted Ti Chief. That would solve the linerless issue!

I knew there was a reason I liked you, Vivi!

A Native Chief in a special color (I am fine with the steel) would be a good choice. I would go for that, assuming it is as nice as we think it is going to be.

It might be our only way to get one in a steel like this. I would support this. Cruwear or 4V.

I don’t think the 2018 forum knives have even sold out yet. Probably not gonna see a 2019.

I found the whole 2018 forum knife thing strange. We did multiple polls and they were basically ignored. They then went and made a Para2 in S90V which should have been a safe bet but here we are all this time later and they are still in stock. Strange since Para2 exclusives usually sell out in minutes. I personally passed because I have tons of S90V, too many Para2s and I don’t like the inlay.

Anyway, I personally don’t see much point in doing another poll.

I'd guess the $270 price has something to do with it.

It's about $160 with the discount code but they didn't advertise it widely so that's why it didn't sell.

We were given a discount code. It isn’t $270.

I passed on the 2018 forum knife also because of the inlay and steel choice. I still think they should make a Jester forum knife since it is such a popular model on the forum.

I never heard about the discount code for the 2018 forum knife. Can you still use the code? If so what is it?
