The standard clip on a knife this price??? I'm mind blown
I guess I'm weird, I kinda kinda like the simplicity.

It really may not be a bad thing though. Made me think about the Drunken and all the issues with the clip that everyone was posting about. So in that regard, the simplicity and proven standard clip could be a safe bet. I was just expecting something different for this one that's all. Out of my price range anyways :o

Standard clip means standard screw pattern so you have all the custom clips to choose from!

Not quite, got my CC Paysan in this past week and has the same pattern as the Nirvana, which is just barely different from the standard. Most clips will fit with one screw entering slightly off center, I tried a few deep carry models I had to check.

I'll make a few statements about the Paysan though, IMO it's the single best higher end spydie ever made and shockingly to me, surpassed my expectations. Never thought I'd say this about a $520 spydie but it's worth every cent and more.

How many dealer exclusives did we have in 2018 and how many have we had so far in 2019 over a third of the way through the year?? I feel like there was almost one a week dropping there at the end of the year, but this year we haven't seen much of anything. Hoping for a flood (nay, a tsunami!) of dealer exclusives to come soon!! I know there are a million in the queue. C'mon Cruwear and 4V!!

This year to the end of April 2019 there have been 14 Sprint/Exclusives (52% of all new Spyderco knife models).

For all of last year in 2018, there were 56 Sprint/Exclusives (61% of all new Spyderco knife models).

Yeah, guess it doesn't seem like that many. Take out the V-TOKU and Super Gold (soooo 2018) and BHQ M4s and there have only been a handful of "surprises" so far in 2019 as far as sprints and especially exclusives go.

I have the same feeling, and I must say I'm quite a bit disappointed of 2019 so far. Focus seems to have been on kitchen knives for a good part, which is nice for those who are interested. Not my piece of cake. Same as the recent development towards lightweight designs, but that's just me...

Anyone know about the m390 Manix? All the prior references on store sites are kaput. Are they still a go?

I have three guesses here...

1. Last year we heard that M390 was hard to source at the moment so thats why we started seeing CTS-204P and CPM-20CV. Maybe they couldn't get M390 or maybe it is too expensive to import now. Maybe we will see one of these other steels at a later date.

2. Maybe the distributor cancelled the order/couldn't pay?

3. Maybe with the new reveal policy Spyderco directed the dealers to remove references to the knives until they are officially announced or they are in the dealers hands.

I would like to know for sure though as this one is on my list and may affect what else I buy in the meantime.

Those are really interesting numbers. I wonder what the purpose of the standard line up is other than to be test market pieces?

Those percentages of sprints and exclusives don't reflect the actual number of units sold. It makes sense to me that there would be many variations of a popular model. Without knowing how many units of the base model are sold I don't think you can draw many conclusions.

I can fit Lynch clips just fine onto those “slightly-different-than-Golden 3-hole pattern” Taichung knives, beginning way back when the Domino was released to my new Paysan (have an identical one on my Nirvana). The hole spacing on the Lynch clips is just forgiving enough to allow it. Posted these pics on IG last week, I’ll just say the Paysan is truly a STUNNING achievement for the Taichung factory! Hope that helps, Radioactive :)

Nice Radio! That looks like what it should have been manufactured with. Fits well and the color looks great with the knife.

The Endela is starting to drop on some websites. Gpk has the serrated in stock.

Also seeing many of the second quarter releases popping up, Chief and Emphasis for example.

20CV is Identical to M390 in composition so this should make for a very nice knife. I plan to get one or two of them.
