No I haven’t. I did this with a dremel tool. I think the glock mod is done with heat isn’t it?

I guess I’ve seen people do it either way. The latest I’ve seen is using basically a cad program and lasers. I think that’s beyond your average home enthusiast! I’d love a little more texture on my HK P2000sk, but not to the level of the P30 or Sig P365. Those things shred flesh. Need a tucked in undershirt!!

Really, nice job LC! How long did it take you to do both scales? Noticable difference in grip?

I practiced on a messed up para 3 scale for a while to make sure I liked the texture I was getting, I tried many types of bits. Once I was happy with the texture I started on the Yo2 scales. I’d say it took about 30 minutes. The texture was pretty rough but I hit it with some sand paper to lighten it up which worked pretty well. I’m also going to smooth out the texture under where the clip sits to make it easy to draw from the pocket. Once all that was done, some oil to make the black pop and it was done. Easy enough to do if you have a dremel. I’m going to do the same thing to my Native Chief when it arrives.

Thanks for looking.

That knife looks incredibly sleek, like a race car or stealth fighter.

Beginning of week 3 with this one in the pocket. I think I could probably get by with only this knife for an EDC office carry and probably even weekend carry. But, whats the fun in that?

I love it. My kind of mod. Did you use a carbide bit or diamond? How did you keep the dust down?
