There is a knot called a Monkey Fist that makes a ball. It is alot more complex than the pic. The cord is cut with a hot knife and makes it look like there are no ends. Good luck.

It is not a Monkey Fist as I just finished one of those up. Could it be a turks head? Appreciate the help!!!!

Could very well be a Turks head, lots of variety in them. In addition to the one Ken pointed you to, you might want to check out the ones here, http://www.folsoms.net/knots/ They range from the simple to the mindboggling.

Paul

That is one of the best knot sites I've seen!

It has easy to follow animations that make even more complicated knots pretty easy!

Cheers, Ken

Wow, that turned out to be a very efficient knot for lanyards. :D Thanks again Ken for the link to BB.
Found it also in my knot-tying-book where it's called a 'diamond knot' - the large one on the Fallkniven F1 is a double-diamond-knot. That took a while to get right... :o
The one on the Sebenza and Bob T Jr. is made with a more 'flatter' paracord that I got from Jurphaas, and it actually works better because the knot is more round then with thick paracord.

Very nice Ted. Well done. I'm going to take my copy of The Ashley Book of Knots and some paracord with me to the cottage this Summer to keep myself constructively occupied on those really rainy days. Who knows, even the wife might take an interest :D .

Here's a link to something called 'the Chinese Button Knot". It looks IMO the same. This site also has good instruction.
