The salt series with LC200N will probably get green handles. The kind of green you will easily see when diving. Eric told us that at the Amsterdam meet.

Since there is no Eric's bombshell thread I'll include this here. How awesome is that? Probably going to be the toxic green from the USN H1 exclusives I would think.

Please offer a black blade/hardware option with those green scales!! :D

Neat! Something different. I will be tempted.

In the topic "What's Next for the Chaparral?" Sal wrote the following, implying multiple new versions of the Chaparral to come:

"We've got a few in-the-works.

Thanks for the repost! Super excited for the LWC3.5. I hope K390 makes it to the first production run. I wonder where it will be produced?

Most likely in Japan where the previous ones have been made.

While there is one thing I like about the Delica better than the Caly (guard instead of choil) the Caly is in most ways a nicer design. It is the knife that really brought me back to Spyderco. I was carrying a Leek as my daily thin office knife but it would come open on occasion, in my pocket. Ouch! So, I started looking for something with the same dimensions and the Caly fit the bill, is a better knife, has a better lock, better fit and finish, a stronger pivot, and a lovely blade. I have been a Caly lover since.

The Caly 3.5 is a win on all fronts for me: Good blade:handle (.79), ergonomics, slim in the pocket, wire clip (absolute best). With the lightweight a sub-3oz weight would take the cake...especially if we can get so weight behind a K390 blade.

I just really hope this means there will be a Caly 3 LW on the horizon - the 3.5 is more than I need but that 3 is just oh so sweet...

Sal mentions in the post that if the 3.5 does well the 3 will be considered: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=82873&start=20

Guess that counts? From the thread "Endela - less pronounced, less "pointy" finger grooves than Endura / Delica?!"

....As far as the Endela goes, I am unsure why we didn't just get a Stretch with a Straight spine. Folks have been requesting it for longer than I have been hanging out around here....

Hi Darby, I just received a proto.

Hi Marius,

We're working on a 3.0" Slippie for the UK market. I'll keep a 3.25 compression lock model in mind as we watch the model in the future.

sal

This is incredibly welcome news, I was recently messaging with Alistair on this design and hoping it was still in the works. A smaller Kapara slippie is easily my #1 most wanted, 3" is perfection for me :D

A slip joint Kapara sounds intriguing.

I hope they opt for linerless G10 construction in keeping with Alistair's original design.
