At "Lamnia" it's already sold out again, at least that's what their homepage is saying... ?! Probably that just means they never really had it actually and just don't know when it will be available
Hi,

they had it, but only for couple hours.

Patko
Really? That's crazy... luckily I am not interested in that particular model myself, otherwise I'd be quite upset...
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Thank you for the picture of it taken apart, looks like Spyderco has covered all the mechanical interaction using metal so this one is now on the purchase list for me.

How are you liking the BD1N steel thus far?

DLC M4 and blacked out hardware with safety orange frn!
I'm sure CS already has one in the works, unfortunately it won't be M4.

No thank you,,, those pockets in the FRN appear to be magnets for accumulating debris.

What are the two extra holes around the pivot on the blade for? Maybe it has something to do with that extra metal piece that goes around the pivot and stop pin. I guess that means we can't swap blades between the g10 and frn models... :(

Iirc, they are there to tell the different blade steels apart and also to help secure the blade during machining. I suppose with several different models of Para 3 they don't want any s30v or s110v or bd1n, etc blades getting mixed up.

I always assumed that any extra holes in blades are for tooling/mounting. I'd be shocked if the blades were any different than the G10 version, it just doesn't make sense economically for the maker.

I would agree but that logic has already been proven not to follow.

Case in point. The Spyderco Stretch2 blade in FRN with VG10 Steel is different in size and shape to the Stretch 2 with G10 slabs and ZDP-189 steel.

According to the Instagram conversation the blades aren't interchangeable. :(

That's why it's a LW
The native 5 lw and manix 2 lw also lack liners

The other side without the washer, is that a bearing I'm seeing? Hopefully removable.

No bearing, it’s a moulded frn ‘bush’. A similar setup can be seen on the Native 5 LW.

Anxious to get one of these in hand! Even though it's going to be tough to kick the Bugout from my pocket.

And PE is already sold out. I hope they're able to get another run cranked out again soon.

Purchased a PE version about 15 minutes before I linked this thread. They roughly lasted another hour before just the SE was left on the site. With as popular as the Para 3 Lightweight is...I'm sure Spyderco will have many coming in weeks and months ahead!
