ZT 0770CF
My first Elmax blade. :)
Congrats on the new ZT! I have the aluminum 0770 Elmax that I put a hand satin on the blade, de assisted, and finished with blue titanium pivot /barrel spacers!
Very light and usable blade shape...

I was carrying for my left hand a ZT 0556CF that I really liked but was somewhat heavy. The ZT 0770CF is exactly 2 oz lighter and has dual CF scales, liner lock and a better blade profile with the exact same action. IMO
Can you find it and can it cut?

Debating this one as the price seems great compared to what it is on blade hq and the materials certainly warrant it.

Ordered these two. Should be here next week.

The first is a J.E. Made Lanny's Clip with an s35vn blade and Desert Ironwood covers on top of a titanium frame. I've heard a lot of good things about these knives. They're made in China but the shop is only 5 people. CNC cut but hand finish and hand ground blades, heat treated by the owner/designer/general worker. So, I guess they're kinda midtechs. Only thing I'm worried about is whether or not they've been ground thin enough. I've not seen or heard of fit and finish issues. Thought it would be good to see their take on a classic Bose design. Also cool, they come with a case, a driver, and a second set of all hardware, including, I think, a second pivot.
Image

The second is the first to be released of a short run by GEC. Their #12 pattern Texas Toothpicks. These aren't massive in terms of toothpicks: a 4.75" handle and a 3" blade. But, they're not as small as many and that is a really good size. The next ones to be released will have some pretty cool covers, but the Chechen Rosewood aka Carribean Rosewood paired with the brushed bolsters and satin blade really got me. Plus, only $80.

Def going on a knife buy hiatus now, though. At least until the frn P4 drops.

Great Eastern Cutlery #25 Barlow, OD Micarta scale covers. To me, this is one of the classic American traditional pocket knives. I am 76 and can dimly remember Barlow’s being carried by adults in my youth. This particular run was done in 2017 so I missed out on them, as did most Great Eastern Cutlery afis. But, I finally found one at a decent price. Should be here next week.
