I don't own one. I do know that the knife has been discontinued and the designer recently passed away. It feels like the knife community has lost a lot of people in the last year. Some of them had a history of working with Spyderco. I think it would be nice to re-release a model from these designers as the forum knife. I realize that it would cost a lot to spin up production for these models, and the sales may never be there to justify the costs.

Rare, beautiful and unlikely to rise from the ashes.

I have one and while I don't think I would call it rare, it does command a hefty price in the secondary market. I am fond of all the Viele Spyderco knives, perhaps because of the Micarta on the handles. Another excellent knife designer we have lost.

Managed to get my hands on a mint one not too long ago :)
Lovely looking knife and I'm glad to have added it to the collection!
Such a shame we had to lose another great designer though...

It's not necessarily super rare, but it is getting harder and harder to come by and rather pricey.

We, have Spyderco.
