Before I begin, I would like to extend an apology for the quality of these photos. I used what I had access to & this is what I was able to come up with. Also, I wanted to get the information out to y'all A.S.A.P.
Early January, I purchased 2 McBees. The stock clip leaves a substantial amount of knife exposed & in danger of "flippin' out". I really didn't want these little guys going MIA, so I ordered a couple deep carry clips. I had found 2 people that were using MXG Gear deep carry clips, but they were both using the 2 screw version. I wanted to use 3 points of contact like the stock clip, so I ordered: #102101
I had previously emailed MXG, and they responded that the clips were not compatible. Fine, we'll have to do some light modding.

I keyholed the top hole on the clip to get it to fit. I used a 1/16 cobalt drill bit & used a reaming motion.

And here are some comparison shots vs. the standard clip.

The clip extends past the scale, so you actually gain a tiny bit of grip. My middle finger rests perfectly in the clip dip.

Mission accomplished. Deep carry, 3 points of contact, titanium, with much less chance of "flippin' out" during carry. I chose this style clip because I liked how it's round hole tied in with the blade's trademark round hole. The color of this Ti clip perfectly matches the hardware on the McBee. I used the stock screws because the upgraded clip is the same thickness as the stock clip & the screws included with the ti clip do not match the rest of the hardware. And now for some parting glamour shots:

Now I'm left wondering, should I mount a lanyard through the stock lanyard tube? Or should I just hang it off the clip?
Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.
