Who else is packing some LC200n? Whaddya think?

I've been carrying and using my Spydiechef for about 4 months. I've been with happy with the knife and the steel. So happy with the steel that I just bought a Native Salt.

I haven't yet needed to sharpen or hone the Chef, as it has mostly been used on food.

Everyone who uses the stuff seems pretty happy with it!

Anyone here NOT happy with it? If so, why?

How are folks sharpening and honing it? By some reports it holds up best with a finer finish- although for slicing (vs push cutting)- a coarser finish might be better?

I'm happy to have a more compact and general purpose LC knife (Native) and may end up giving the two blades different finishes depending on application. Any additional thoughts about sharpening/ honing LC?

While I am asking about finish, I saw some discussion of narrowing the edge bevel to 10 DPS. Anyone reprofiled their LC knife? If so, which knife and how do you use it?

Any other thoughts, observations, appreciation or critique?

I love the Caribbean with all of my heart! Half of that love is for the steel, the other half is for the level of performance the design provides.

I have done nothing more than medium and fine on the Sharpmaker. It's not a hair whittler, but it slices through banding, plastic wrap and cardboard like a lightsaber.

I want a Spyderco Stretch LC200N.

I believe it to be the best knife Spyderco has ever produced. It needs to be it's own model like the PM2, with a bazillion sprints. I would own them all. The machined G10 is by far the most grippy, but least abrasive material they offer.

This knife completely outclassed the competition. It's basically a Military that is the size of a PM2.

I just got a Native Salt in the mail yesterday and I'm gonna carry it a lot because I work at a bar and grill (always getting wet). Very happy to have a LW Native in my inventory again, as I had sold my other LWs.
Truthfully, I could not get down with the Caribbean's G10 situation (so I sold it); if they ever make the Caribbean with plain ole peel ply G10, I'd like that.

I've been excited over LC200N and have a few knives with that blade steel. I really hope to see a LC200N Para 3 from someone soon. Maybe even Spyderco does a Para 3 Salt, which I think thousands have already called for.

I like this. I would enjoy seeing more Spyderco with G10 that is most grippy yet less abrasive.

Curious about others' experience sharpening and honing it (see my original post). I will update with my experience sharpening LC, once I have some!

I have been thinking or doing some reprofiling especially on the chef it is great for food the way it is ground but could be better if reprofiled.

As for my Caribbean and the Native just been brown stoning them and it only takes 2 or 3 passes per side.
