Do you think it would still be flickable without the washers?
Please tell me you don't buy knives for their "flickability"

Their tools, not toys for adults. Especially this LW model. Nothing pretty or fancy, put out at a great price with a fairly high sought after steel, begging to be used. Sure it's a bonus if it opens/closes with ease. But certainly not a make or break decision when it comes to buying one.

Tools and toys, else why do we have so many?

Nope, I'm not going down that lane again these days. Just saying I don't think the flickyness of a knife should be the factor in deciding whether or not to purchase a model. That's all.

All things being equal I’d chose the knife that opens and closes easily over the one that doesn’t. And besides that, nothing wrong with having a little fun. :D
Most recently acquired: Military 2, Paramilitary 2 Tanto x2, YoJUMBO, Swayback, Siren, DLC Yojimbo 2, Native Chief, Shaman S90V, Para 3 LW, Ikuchi, UKPK, Smock, SUBVERT, Amalgam, Para 3 CTS-XHP, Kapara, Paramilitary 2 M390

Of course I also prefer the same, but if I never ventured outside of those thoughts, I would have never bought my current, favorite slicer in the Delica Pakkawood! Not as fun as other knives, but man I love that knife. Thinner blade than the standard Delica!

You are absolutely correct. In my quote above, about the Delica Pakkawood...that's what I was getting at with my original post. I'd hate for someone to miss out on a fantastic model that could check all the other boxes for them, besides maybe the fun factor, which could become less of a "perk" in the knife compared to the other qualities you may find in it.

I get so much more enjoyment out of the slow-roll opening of a knife but to each their own!

I am carrying an Opinel today to pair with an E4SS and I am really enjoying it despite not having any modern features.

It could be, if flickability is what a person is looking for in a knife? Theres lots of people out there mate, with vastly differing wants and needs.
Also, the majority of knives I own are absolutely toys for adults. If my knife purchases were based purely on utilitarian need, I would have probably 2.
Anyway, I personally would love to see pb washers on this rig. I’ll get one regardless though.

If you're into knives who cares why? Only if you use your knives as tools like an old man can you have knives

Please clarify the “old man” part. I’m an old man (76) so I’m curious, not being sarcastic or anything.

Thanks.

Did not mean to offend just don't get why it matters if someone else wants a knife because it's fun and not because it's an amazing tool

Thanks. No offense taken, merely curious. And I agree with you.
