My thoughts (based not on fact) would be that they'd have the minimum possible to secure the pivot pin to the compression pin on both sides (kind of like the small "figure-8" shaped metal piece on either side of the Manix 2 LW and to allow for the compression lock's lockbar.

No offense, just out of interest: Did you try a Native 5 LW and if, did you miss the blade washers there? I personally don't.

Sorry FK, but there are no “many others “ who will pass because of the washers. Spyderco’s light weight FRN knives are extremely popular, and for good reason. They work well.

Yeah, I don't see it getting a choil. That's why there are other models. And that's one reason why the Para variations don't displace the Delica. Clearly there's room for both.Wartstein wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 3:05 pmDelica 5: For me still NO choil, still backlock hopefully...sparky2016 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 2:04 pmLock, choil, size.
Plus you haven't seen the Delica 5 yet. :P

Well said. Let me add: And that´s also one reason why many will get both the Para 3 LW AND the Delica...sparky2016 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 15, 2019 5:52 pmYeah, I don't see it getting a choil. Re: Will the Paramilitary FRN replace the Delica?
This may have been covered already Does this come with any liners?
Flash Batch request: Flat Iron Salt (CE w/ yellow FRN)
New knife request: Police 4 Salt!!!

Re: Will the Paramilitary FRN replace the Delica?
The word on the street is that the liners are minimal. Whatever is the minimum necessary to allow for a compression lock. The consensus is that the non-locking side is linerless; however, I think that it is possible there will be a small metal piece securing the compression lock pin to the pivot pin on that side so that something more than the FRN is securing the compression lock. The Manix 2 LW is supposed to have small "figure-8" shaped "liner" to secure the pivot to the top pin through the locking mechanism. I would think something like this would be employed in the Para3 LW.
Re: Will the Paramilitary FRN replace the Delica?
Really like the design on the new par 3 lw. I think both the delicate and p3lw need to be about $10-15 dollars cheaper
Re: Will the Paramilitary FRN replace the Delica?
Makes sense from a design standpoint. Is the metal nested or embedded?ASmitty wrote: ↑Thu Jan 17, 2019 11:35 amThe word on the street is that the liners are minimal.
