So, i went with the native 5. On my way out i walked by my gunsafe and saw my ukpk so i slipped it in another pocket.
I ended up using that for all my cutting on Christmas eve (we celebrate and open presents on the 24th in Norway)
I don't understand why i prefered a plastic handled, non locking featherweight budget knife over a sexy native.
I've Just been fondling it KeithKevinKen style since I got it, the frn pattern feels exclusive in some weird way.
The ergos is fantastic for me, and the drop point blade is beautifully ground for slicing and cutting.
Bd1n, although not the most exotic steel is more than adequate for EDC.
Deep carry minimalistically brilliant wireclip.
I even find the lack of a lockingmechanism adding to the fidgetelement of the knife.
I guess i understand why,,, but i don't understand why i feel This way.
I never thought i would fall in love with one of my cheapest knives.
Sry for the Norwenglish.

UKPK is a great design, but I'm a bit biased since one of my all time favorites is the Caly!
I have a G10 drop-point UKPK that I carry often.
Going back to Caly.

I ended up carrying my Autonomy anyway. I guess I'm a creature of habit. Nothing cuts up clam shell packages like SE.

True story. I guess an actual hook type blade like you see on the back of some skinning knives would be ideal, but SE hits the spot.

Police 4 and Leatherman Rebar for me.

Police helped open a lot of packages, cut tape and ribbon, did a little food prep, etc.

Rebar was used to cut wrapping paper this morning, the serrated blade worked nice for that. Catch the paper in one of the large scallops then glide right through it with a push cut. The pliers and screwdrivers came in handy for getting some toys ready to go and fixing some stuff.

Since I don't really own any gents knives, fancy knives or any in red or green, I just went with my favorite tools.
