Interesting that the tan scale 20CV variants sold out a larger number inside of half an hour and these are still available the better part of a day later. These are arguably as nice looking and functionally nearly identical. Perhaps due to different levels of marketing by the dealers, or because this is a rerun?

I think it not selling out immediately has to do with it being released so close to Christmas. Im sure I’m not the only one that is pretty tapped out this time of year.

Also I think there are 180 left as of this post. That’s the max it will let me add to my cart.

I really waffled on ordering one of these, as I've spent a ton of money already on Christmas presents for others.
Plus I've purchased a half dozen PM2s over the past few months.
However the boss handed me a sizeable Christmas bonus yesterday....so I thought what the heck, I ordered one.

Good job, not sure what your experience is with CTS-204P but I love it. Have it in a Military and am pleased to have purchased two of them.

It is allot like M390 on paper but I like the way it cuts better. If I had not switched to larger knives this would have been purchased for certain but owning two PM2's in M390 makes it impossible to justify, that is just how close the two steels are.

So close to jumping...but...not quite there. Quit during checkout.

(I have other knives in the 20CV, 204P, M390 family and a few other PM2s in premium steel.)

Maybe this will help?

I own two Paramilitary Knives in M390 and two Para3 knives in M390.

I own two Military Knives in CTS 204P.

They mostly live in the Safe deposit box at the bank with their brothers and I rotate as the urge strikes me while the backups never see the light of day.

If the Military were available affordably in M390 I would buy one.

But since it is not and I already have duplicates of a similar steel and have switched to larger blades the Spyderco Police becoming my new favorite. For me this is a no buy scenario.

I think you should get one and give yourself a nice Christmas Gift. Lord knows I have lately :)

I have what I consider a decent amount of experience with M390 and 20CV--both cutting and sharpening--but mostly in Benchmades products. I only have one 20CV PM2, but have little experience with Spyderco's heat treat, etc yet. This will be my first 204P knife and I'm excited to get it cutting, but more excited to sharpen it.
I'm considering buying a spare, but will hold off until the red M390 PM2 is re-released supposedly per DLT.

Nope. Didn't help.

I held off...held off...held off...held off...

Congratulations! 👍

Is it actually the same color as Military cts-204p? Or a bit different?
