You can, just cut 2/3 of the blade off!

Imagine how quick that blade would jump out then!

I have been carrying out the side and OTF autos regularly in the city for more than twenty years without issue. I take care as to where and when I do use them. I don't whip out my Infidel and use it to cut up my steak in a restaurant. :D

I know right? The only legal auto I have is a Kershaw CA legal model. Maybe Spyderco wants to get into the CA legal market too??

I don't think I can carry this where I live.

I don't think I can justify this one. I have an Autonomy 2 that I haven't used much :(

Ordered one today! I even sold my ultratech to buy it. I haven’t been this excited for a knife since my first PM2. Anyone have any size comparisons?

Looks like a perfect size to me! And without a choil, it should have a good amount of usable edge. Can’t wait to get mine!

I drove up to the BladeOps store first thing this morning and picked up two in person--one for me and one for my son as a Christmas present.

The guy behind the counter was happy to bring out a whole stack of shiny new Embassy knives for me to play with. I must have looked at 8 or 10 different knives and picked the best pair to take with me.

The first one I looked at has perfect lock-up so of course it's in my pocket right now. The other knife I brought home has just the very slightest amount of blade-play. Everything else about these two Embassy knives is, of course, stellar.

Being able to pick out your very own is one nice advantage of having two great local knife shops (BladeOps and Blade HQ) within easy driving distance.

The disadvantage is....well, I'm sure you all know what happens when it's so easy to simply drop by on the way home from work and browse for just a few minutes.....

Eurastus, welcome to the forum! You are indeed lucky to live that close to both of those establishments. If it were me I'd have been broke a long time ago. :D

I was expecting my Embassy to be delivered today. Dumb me didn't think about the fact that I'd need to be home to sign for it. I found a note on my door from the mail carrier stating that I can pick up the package at the post office tomorrow. Unfortunately, I have an appointment after work tomorrow and I'm not sure I'll make it to the PO before they close. Oh well, I'll just have to wait I guess.

Can anyone provide an explanation of how the button lock keeps the blade open and closed?
