Techno 2 Timeline
Re: Techno 2 Timeline
I thought the factory shipped to Spyderco HQ and from there it went out to dealers.
Re: Techno 2 Timeline
Hi guys, the Techno 2 is already available in Taiwan (where it's manufactured)!
I just got one yesterday and have been playing with it for a while. Here's a video overviewing some of its features:

Re: Techno 2 Timeline
Looks like the perfect big brother for the McBee, can't wait!
Re: Techno 2 Timeline
I personally think the green standoffs look pretty nice. Though I would also love a backspacer for carrying the knife with a bunch of keys just because the blade is so thick and needs some protection...RobDigi wrote: ↑Tue Dec 04, 2018 1:10 pmyeah yeah we know the skinny Techno...where the frig it at already?!
I don't mind the standoffs...
but why they had to use that blahhh color green...ugh!
I'll wait to see it up close before I make final judgement.
Looks like there is gonna be a big aftermarket for spacers on this.
Re: Techno 2 Timeline
Fiending badly for this one, thanks for the update and video link.
Re: Techno 2 Timeline
1 in stock at blade ops at time of posting...
Re: Techno 2 Timeline
Showing up on eBay...
Re: Techno 2 Timeline
there was one on bladeops...on its way to me now.
Re: Techno 2 Timeline
I just saw on IG that New Graham had some in stock today.
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!
Re: Techno 2 Timeline
Looking forward to hearing some reports on the Techno 2.
I noticed that the lockbar cutout is larger - perhaps because the ti is thicker. I wonder if that larger thinned out section is uncomfortable to grip.

Re: Techno 2 Timeline
I have one inbound. If lockstick free will keep it and post pics.
Re: Techno 2 Timeline
Has anyone been able to compare both versions of the Techno in a slicing test yet? I'm just curious how much better the thinner blade stock will perform for slicing tasks.
Re: Techno 2 Timeline
Just heard on reddit that Techno2 pre-orders from bhq are shipping.

Re: Techno 2 Timeline
my sample from DLT is out for delivery, don't have a T1 to compare though.
Re: Techno 2 Timeline
Just picked mine up this morning. Beautiful knife and I much prefer the blade shape to the original Techno. I do not care for the placement of the wire clip. It sits too high on the knife (ala Positron) and is definitely noticeable in the hand. I modified a deep carry clip for a Leek and mounted it via its front hole on the screw for the wire clip. Sits dead center on handle and all the way at the back of the knife. It’s much better in the hand that way and doesn’t look back either. That said, I have some additional mods to the clip planned to make it look like it is OEM. Great knife. I sliced apples with it and it did well. Not Chapparel well, but then again, very well for the thickness of the blade stock. Definitely a keeper.
Try to out love, out serve and out forgive.

Hmm that's interesting...
my original felt perfect to me the first time I held it and never even thought about changing anything.
My Techno has always felt great and looked great... just never cut great!
The Techno 2 seems like it should be a better slicer/cutter...I hope with the same charm as the original.
